    Much better Soundbars out there for less money

    For $500 I would think this would be an upgrade from my Samsung N650 sound bar. It was not. I literally plugged this in the same spot as my N650 and toggles back and forth between the two sound bars. Bass was much weaker, distortion was creeping in around 80% volume. Not to mention the subwoofer was visually and physically a much lesser quality sub. Smaller, fabrics mesh front vs steel mesh front. Samsung is trying to save a buck on the q600. Save yourself $150 and go with a much better N650 in my opinion.

      Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Q600A Soundbar and for your review. We appreciate your feedback on the design, as well as the performance of your soundbar.

      Please try these tips to improve the distortion and bass performance of your unit:

      1) Check that the soundbar is correctly positioned correctly with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. We have found that many customers are misplacing the soundbar with the SAMSUNG logo perpendicular to the floor (facing you when seated), with the unit resting on the speakers, resulting in muffled sound.

      2) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down

      3) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.

    Purchased with a Samsung TV. The speakers from the TV work in combination with the sound bar, which makes the background noise lower than peoples voices. Definitely helped the clarity of speech, which helps with hearing aids. Set up was extremely user friendly!

    The sound is superb and when you run in the Q symphony mode, (very easy to activate) it uses both the TV and soundbar to produce a great 3d like sound effect. The TV remote and our cable remote work with both TV and soundbar. Very happy so far!

    The sound itself is good, but there does not seem to be any sound leveling function, and some of the streaming channels seem to play their ads and breaks at 20db louder than the shows.

      You may want to try changing the sound mode to Adaptive Sound. Adaptive Sound analyzes the content in real time and automatically provides an optimal sound field based on the characteristics of the content. Additionally, turning on Dynamic Range Control (DRC) may help. With DRC turned on, loud sounds will be reduced.
      1) Turn off your Soundbar.
      2) While the Soundbar is off, press and hold the Sound Mode button on the remote control for 6 seconds until you see “DRC ON” shown on the display.
      3) To turn off DRC, repeat steps 1 and 2 above.

    Price for the performance you get is pretty good. Nothing mind blowing but I do like watching movies with it not too loud and since I live in a apartment I do not disturb my neighbors with crazy bass or the loudness.

    Works well with 2021 samsung 75 inch tv. I added wireless rear speakers and these sound great for the price. This sound bar might not be an audiophile level, but works for my netflix binging.

    Sounds fantastic. I purchased this with the rear wireless speakers and I am very pleased with the price and sound quality. Passes thru 4k which was key to me using my appleTV remote to controle everything.

    Very satisfied with this soundbar dialog is very clear. You can hear the voice over the dramatic senes. I got the rear speakers to and it realy makes a differance.I would recomend this setup,

    Not quite everything as lead to believe. Out of sink with picture and could not fix so replaced. Issue still existed called Samsung and they had me reset the bar, problem solved.

    Great sound!!! Just like movie theatre. Very impressed with the quality of the sound. Very user friendly as well. The hook up is very easy. The Bluetooth connection works well.

    Like the sound but have an issue with the subwoofer. The on line chat person said he would have the installation people call me. It’s been three days and no one has called

      Hi Larry,

      Your feedback regarding issues with the subwoofer are important to us and will be shared with our product teams. When you turn the power on after connecting the power cables to the Soundbar and subwoofer, the subwoofer is automatically connected to the Soundbar. When auto pairing is complete, the blue indicators at the rear of the subwoofer turn on.

      If autoconnection fails, you can manually connect the subwoofer.

      Before performing the manual connection procedure below:
      • Check whether the power cables for the Soundbar and subwoofer are connected properly.
      • Make sure that the Soundbar is turned off.

      1. Press and hold ID SET on the rear of the subwoofer for at least 5 seconds.
      • The red indicator on the rear of the subwoofer turns off and the blue indicator blinks.
      2. Press and hold the Up button on the remote control for at least 5 seconds.
      • The ID SET message appears on the display of the Soundbar for a moment, and then it disappears.
      • The Soundbar will automatically power on when ID SET is complete.
      3. Check if the LINK LED is solid blue (connection complete). The LINK LED indicator stops blinking and glows a solid blue when a connection is established between the Soundbar and the Wireless Subwoofer.

    Sounds like a movie theather in my own home. Loving it. Only negative is having to pause show/movie to make sure certain sounds were coming from tv and not actually in real life (O_O)

    Purchased this soundbar to go with the 65"Samsung TV which I purchased at the same time. This soundbar is great. The sound is wonderful, it gives you a surround sound effect.

    First time for a sound bar, but do notice a difference inthe sound quality as opposed to just the TV. took a bit to find the display but all synced up great.
