It has been a major improvement. As a matter of fact, it has been working too good. The sound is fantastic and can definitely get loud if you're not careful. Samsung has been my brand of choice for as long as I could remember. This was the primary reason for choosing this sound bar. Being a 7 channel was an added bonus. We will definitely enjoy our purchase for years to come.

He can choose from modes like Standard, Surround, Game Pro, DTS Virtual:X, or Adaptive Sound mode, which optimizes sound based on each scene and lets you hear voices clearly at low volumes. You can find these by pressing the Sound Mode button on your remote.

This has amble bass sound (also bluetooth) and all speakers can be adjusted to suit your needs,also has various sound modes by way of the remote. For the price i am more than happy. Go to Samsung and look for latest upgrades and download it to a usb memory stick and plug into the soundbar,i did this step first,upgrade took right off from power up.

Several different settings to choose from, we found one perfect for our room and expectations. The only issue is the dogs sometimes hear noises from the tiny speakers and think it is coming from outside and do a mini-freakout. I hung the bar on the wall with the included hardware, behind the TV where you can't see it, and put the tiny speakers in a pretty hidden area, too. So, much improved sound without cluttering up the room with speakers,
