Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-Q65T Soundbar System which comes with a subwoofer and rear speaker kit. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts about the wireless description of the rear speakers.
Occasionally, customers have trouble hiding and running speaker wires from the front of the room (where their soundbar is) to the back of their room (where they have their rear speakers). The Rear Speaker Kit eliminates that hassle. Connect the rear speakers to its wireless module and place these three in the back of your room. One wire is required to connect each rear speaker to the wireless module. Then plug in the power cable to the module. The “wireless” convenience is in connecting your soundbar and any other speakers at the front of the room to the rear speakers – this can now be done via Wi-Fi through the wireless module, eliminating any clutter of long wires running the length of your room.

The Bass and lows don't do it for me.

I normally use a receiver and wired woofers and speakers. I bought this system based on reviews and my past experience with Samsung but I am underwhelmed with the performance. The bass and lows don't come out strong and the small rear speakers do not add much to the surround sound effect. I also do not like the fact that the rear speakers are wired. I thought that each speaker was wireless when in fact they are wired to a wireless "router". I'm debating on taking them back but I've already drilled into my brick wall.

There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the level between -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
By design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume. However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:
1) Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote.
2) If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote.
3) Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holding the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode.
4) Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the Sound Control button on the Soundbar remote control. Press the Sound Control button on the soundbar remote (looks like a gear), then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

Samsung Soundbar

I allready have a third one in my bedroom. I did try a Vizio model, but returned it. I would recommend this item.

You can try manually optimizing your audio experience by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear) to access the setting items such as TREBLE, BASS, and AUDIO SYNC. The selected item can be adjusted using the Up/Down buttons.
– To control the volume of the treble or bass sound, select TREBLE or BASS in Sound Settings, and then adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
– Press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. (Make sure the Sound mode is set to “STANDARD”.)
– Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the level between -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
Please know, the HW-Q65T includes wall mounting hardware in the box allowing you to secure the soundbar direct to the wall without needing to purchase any additional accessories.

Great soundbar

This is for my bedroom and it connected very easily to my Samsung 50" 8000 class. Installation was a breeze with the rear speakers connected to a remote box and then wired to the speakers. I would buy this unit again and highly recommend it.

The only reason I'm giving this a 4 star is because the dialogues seem to be a little weak.

To increase the volume of the rear speakers, select REAR LEVEL and then use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.
If adjusting the SYNC settings did not resolve the issue, please make sure that you have the latest firmware update(v.1006.0). You can update your firmware by using a USB device. For external devices experiencing sync issues, you can also try connecting the device to the soundbars HDMI input and changing the soundbar source to HDMI.

Great sound some issues with wiring

Sound cut in and out because the wire leads aren’t great. second they’re not copper which would have been ideal.

Our room is filled with great surround sound. The speakers that connect to wifi make it so easy to rearrange the sound direction id I wanted to. I no longer miss going to the movie theatre!!!

Took It Back

However, the surround sound on this model is very faint and lifeless. Even when using the equalizer to fade the audio all the way to the back satellite speakers. Everything else about this unit was fine. After taking 2 different model soundbars back, I realized that maybe soundbar setups weren't for me (especially budget ones). Wound up getting a 5.1 Yamaha receiver instead, and will build on that over time. Unless you're getting a top of the line make and model, these entry level soundbars are way too finicky

Soundbar for samsung tv

I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because i was hopeful to hear voices off tv more. Maybe placement of speakers will make a difference.

HDMI won't work with slightly older model TVs, and you will have to purchase a separate optical audio cable.
