Love this 7.1 surround sound system. Quick and easy setup and pairs perfectly well with our Samsung tv. Currently have it paired via Bluetooth and have had no issues.

The connectivity to the TV via Bluetooth is also perfect, unlike my previous speakers, which were always hit or miss. This particular speaker is great.

But I had the bass and sub all the way up and there was 0 depth, Unless you crank the volume. My 2015 4.1 lg curved soundbar I was trying to replace sounds 5x better

I see that you have already tried increasing bass and subwoofer output, but I did want to share the following adjustments with you, just in case:
1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the level between -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
To optimize sound for your room’s acoustics, you can further fine-tune audio adjustments using the 7-band frequency equalizer.
When the Dynamic Range Control setting is turned on, loud sounds will be reduced. We recommend turning off DRC. This is done by pressing and holding the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode.

if you would like louder (or softer) bass from your subwoofer, you can adjust the level by rocking the WOOFER button on the soundbar remote, and then adjusting the level from -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Samsung - HW-Q65T 7.1ch Sound bar with Rear Kit for its diminutive size, sounds pretty decent in a smaller room. Even though, it has “wireless” rear speakers...they do have wires that are connected to a “wireless” rear module, that requires a power cord and speaker wires. So that is kind of hard for me to buy that statement of wireless rear speakers. However, the sound from the soundbar and rear speakers are quite good. It is definitely loud and clear. The rear surrounds do a good job of mimicking a 5.1 channel sound stage. With the system in our bedroom, while watching movies at night, it sounds quite good. The audio from the soundbar is nice and clear, while the rears provide enough ambience and surround stage. The subwoofer, while not earth shattering, does a decent job on the low frequencies. Setup and bluetooth connections were pretty easy. The initial problem it was cutting out. I researched the issue and found it required a quality optical cable. PLUS, this system requires THREE outlets, one for the soundbar, one for the subwoofer, and one for the "wireless" rear module controller. Overall the Samsung - HW-Q65T 7.1ch Sound bar with Rear Kit is much better than standard TV sound. It does enhance your TV audio experience, just don’t expect it to sound like a high end home theater set up. I would definitely use it for our master bedroom TV audio setup, or even the living room TV. Make sure your TV has an ARC connection or optical connection.

Does a nice job of balancing the sound volumes from each speaker. Eliminates need to turn way up to hear voices and turn down when loud music or action.

The only thing that im upset about is how i purchased the item for 499 and then 2 days later saw it for 399. Just my luck i guess. Other than that its a solid buy.

Set up system as per instructions, measured area and adjusted. Still not enough. While they do output sound with the occasional surround effect, much of the time they are nearly silent. And yes, this is against those programs, movies, etc that DO transmit in 5.1

Please know, if you are not satisfied with the volume of the rear speakers, you can use the included soundbar remote to adjust these settings. Press SOUND CONTROL button to select REAR LEVEL and then use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range. You may also want to select the SURROUND sound mode by pressing the SOUND MODE button on the remote.
Additionally, if you would like louder (or softer) bass from your subwoofer, you can adjust the level by rocking the WOOFER button on the soundbar remote, and then adjusting the level from -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.

The bass is so good we have to turn it down specifically. The satellite speakers are perfectly long enough to make it around amour sectional on either side.
