While it's nice to have surround sound again, this is definitely not 7.1 as the title suggests. While it sounds okay, it lacks the surround sound functions and tuning of my previous sound bar and the surround sound speakers are not as intelligent. They seem to play a quieter version of what the front speakers play, as opposed to letting you hear distinct nuanced sounds that may be happening off screen. I have the bass turned up completely and the woofer volume set to it's highest setting and it is extremely underwhelming. It is not capable of picking up those lows which can really add to the dynamics of what you are watching. Set up was very easy and everything was synced from the box. However, when using the HDMI ARC input with my Google Chromecast and LEDs, it immediately killed the WiFi signal. As soon as I shut off the sound bar, WiFi was restored. This is very frustrating, as I have LEDs behind the TV to enhance my viewing experience and now, I am unable to use them, as the workaround was too disable the LEDs, run the Chromecast through HDMI 1 and play the sound through ARC. Samsung has always been a trusted brand, but this sound bar is way off the mark and is, at best, comparable to the off brand products you can buy from online retailers for half the price. Very disappointed.
