Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Q65T and sharing your feedback regarding connection issues with the subwoofer. When you turn the power on after connecting the power cables to the Soundbar and subwoofer, the subwoofer is automatically connected to the Soundbar. When auto pairing is complete, the blue indicators at the rear of the subwoofer turn on.
If autoconnection fails, you can manually connect the subwoofer.
Before performing the manual connection procedure below:
• Check whether the power cables for the Soundbar and subwoofer are connected properly.
• Make sure that the Soundbar is turned off.
1. Press and hold ID SET on the rear of the subwoofer for at least 5 seconds.
• The red indicator on the rear of the subwoofer turns off and the blue indicator blinks.
2. Press and hold the Up button on the remote control for at least 5 seconds.
• The ID SET message appears on the display of the Soundbar for a moment, and then it disappears.
• The Soundbar will automatically power on when ID SET is complete.
3. Check if the LINK LED is solid blue (connection complete). The LINK LED indicator stops blinking and glows a solid blue when a connection is established between the Soundbar and the Wireless Subwoofer.
Please note:
• Before moving or installing this product, be sure to turn off the power and disconnect the power cord.
• If the main unit is powered off, the wireless subwoofer will go into stand-by mode and the STANDBY LED on the rear of the sub-woofer will turn red after blinking in blue several times.
• If you use a device that uses the same frequency (5.8GHz) as the Soundbar near the Soundbar, interference may cause some sound interruption.
• The maximum transmission distance of the main unit’s wireless signal is about 32.8 ft but may vary depending on your operating environment. If a steel-concrete or metallic wall is between the main unit and the wireless subwoofer, the system may not operate at all because the wireless signal cannot penetrate metal.

We appreciate you sharing your feedback with the HW-Q65T and detailing the issues you are experiencing with the sound cutting in and out.. You may first want to check the cable connection of the soundbar to the TV or external device to ensure it is secure, and properly connected to the correct port.
In addition to checking the connections of the soundbar, please make sure your soundbar is using the latest firmware version (v.1006.0). Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. You can update your firmware by using a USB device.
Should you continue to experience audio dropouts, and are connected wirelessly, please use the included cable to connect the soundbar to the TV. Using a wired connection instead of wireless often eliminates the issue entirely and improves the user experience.

Good entry level sound bar

It gets pretty loud and has most features to rock out in a small to medium room. Only down side is the wireless rears need to be turned up to to max in the settings to get the full surround sound effect. the smaller subwoofer gets the job done. Just don't try to use this in a large room because it does not have the power to fill it. 15*20 type room is the biggest I would go. any larger And i would say upgrade to a bigger system.

My first soundbar

Up until now, I've always had a hard wired system with a receiver and speakers. So far, the set up was super easy and the sound is awesome. The subwoofer and surround speakers connected without any additional setup and this system works great with my new LG TV.

Position the sub behind a chair of hide it away, you will feel the bass. Spread the speakers out, and away from you to get good sound. Only con is price, there are better options for less.

Turns on and off by itself for some reason!

At first the sound bar would not turn on. After experimenting with different ways to get it to work, it finally worked. Fortunately, I did not have to return it and deal with the hassle of shipping, etc. The sound is good, my only complaint is that it turns on and off by itself. I’m not sure why it does that. It’s annoying, not to mention sucking electricity when unnecessary. Please advise.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-Q65T soundbar and for sharing your experience with your soundbar turning on and off by itself.
If your soundbar and Samsung TV are connected by an optical cable, Auto Power Link will turn your soundbar on automatically when you turn on the TV. If you have the soundbar connected with an HDMI cable to the Samsung TV, Anynet+ will turn the soundbar on automatically. Should you want to disable this feature, follow the steps below.
Set the soundbar to “BT Ready” mode by pressing Source on the remote or soundbar. Press and hold the left direction on the direction pad on the remote for more than 5 seconds or until OFF – TV Connect appears on the soundbar display to activate or deactivate Auto Power Link.
Please know that the Auto Power Down Function will automatically turn off the unit in D.IN/ HDMI / Wi-Fi / and BT mode if there is no audio signal for 18 minutes.

Assembly was straight forward. Plugged the optical cable from the TV into the soundbar - they both talked to each other and did their mutual setup on their own. NO setup by me!!! Right out of the box the sound is quite good. Spatial sound is much better than the TV sound. Did not try eARC HDMI because I could not get behind the TV. I already had the optical cable plugged into the TV in anticipation of a soundbar. From research is seems that optical cable will be mostly equal to HDMI when viewing cable/satellite TV.

Total waste of money

I've owned this Samsung soundbar for a bit over a year and a half now. Can I just say that this is the absolutely worst soundbar I've ever owned. The rear speakers don't work unless you're up on them, the subwoofer puts out minimal base, i wonder half of the time if it's even working. The Bluetooth rarely works even on my Samsung phones (Galaxy s20 ultra, previous phone, and my new S24 ultra) if I could return this thing, I would.

Awesome Samsung sound bar system for TV.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This Samsung sound bar replaces my no longer operable Samsung HW-J450/ZA sound bar, that lasted for 7 years. The old sound bar might have lasted longer, if I hadn't installed it on top of the TV. Lesson learned not to make the same mistake. The Samsung HW-Q65T sound bar is a much better sound bar with upscale electronics built in. We can now watch either TV, or movies, and we hear sounds that were there all the time, but we had not heard them before. The bass is crisp and very good, the voices come out clear from the sound bar. I love that the rear speakers are operated, like the bass speaker, by blue tooth, so I don't have to deal with running speaker wire from the sound bar to the rear speakers. With movies in particular the sound makes you feel like you are in the movies. TV sound is also very well played thru this Samsung sound bar. I highly recommend the Samsung HW-Q65T 7.1 channel sound bar, with Dolby 5.1 DTS Virtual: X system.
