I am sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with the out of box experience from your HW-Q750B Samsung Soundbar. You may want to try checking the sound format on your TV to ensure you are getting the best experience for a surround sound setup.
If your Digital Output Audio Format is set to PCM then you will likely notice decreased performance with surround sound audio systems. Dolby options are designed for surround systems (like 3.1.2 or 7.1), whereas PCM provides great sound quality for stereo speakers.
On a Samsung TV this setting can be found at Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings.
Additionally, some sources have their own volume control which might be set too low. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV or soundbar. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV or soundbar and then try cable connection again.

Great theater sound

Ended up putting this in my living room and my old Sonos in the bedroom as the Samsung was to big to fit under my 48" Sony in the bedroom , Now I have theater in both rooms . Great sound

Thank you for taking time to leave a review of the HW-Q750B Soundbar. I am glad to see that the audio quality has exceeded your expectations.
You can manually optimize your audio experience with the TONE CONTROL button. By pressing the button, you can adjust the volume of the treble or bass sound. The desired item can be adjusted using the Up/Down buttons. This function is enabled in Sound mode excluding in Standard mode. To control the volume of the treble or bass sound, select TREBLE or BASS in Sound Settings, and then adjust the volume between -6~+6 by using the Up/Down buttons. Once the bass level is changed, the woofer level will be also adjusted accordingly.
By pressing the SOUND MODE button, you can select the desired audio mode such as Surround, Game, Standard, Adaptive sound.
• Standard Mode: Outputs the original sound.
• Surround Mode: Provides a wider sound field than standard.
• Game Mode: Provides stereoscopic sound to immerse you in the action while gaming.
• Adaptive sound Mode: Analyzes the content in real time and automatically provides the optimal sound field based on the characteristics of the content.

Pretty Solid Soundbar

Works great with SmartThings app. Heads up to those whose ARC stops working or have issues with Dolby... Connect to the app and update the soundbar. We have a Sony TV do no issues especially after the update. Only major issue we had was there were no screws to mount the bar and rear speakers to the wall.
