This was the worst mistake that I could’ve done. I thought I was getting a good deal! From day one I had issues with the sound bar,I thought a firmware update would fix it. It wouldn’t update and I’ve had a paper weight for over a year!

Occasionally, customers have trouble hiding and running speaker wires from the front of the room (where their soundbar is) to the back of their room (where they have their rear speakers).
The Rear Speaker Kit eliminates that hassle. Connect the rear speakers to its wireless module and place these three in the back of your room. One wire is required to connect each rear speaker to the wireless module. Then plug in the power cable to the module.
The “wireless” convenience is in connecting your soundbar and any other speakers at the front of the room to the rear speakers – this can now be done via Wi-Fi through the wireless module, eliminating any clutter of long wires running the length of your room.

Garbage. Samsung attempted repair at my home 3 times and failed. They then wanted me to send back the unit for a refund, but I had to provide shipping materials. At this point I was beyond the Best Buy return period. NEVER buy a samsung product and NEVER rely on them to repair or stand behind anything they make.

I was a Sonos guy. I decided to give a relative my entire Sonos speaker set and give Samsung a chance. I have had constant issues from the start. Most recently, the soundbar has decided it will shut off with the tv remote (Samsung tv), but it will not turn back on. I go back in, set the audio to eArc and audio is again routed to the soundbar. I shut the tv off, the soundbar says “bye”. I turn it back on and it does nothing. I am not interested in “hard resetting” things. It should simply work, every time, like my Sonos playbase. What about sound? I had high hopes. The soundstage is tiny. It doesn’t compare at all with the Sonos playbase. It literally sounds like I have just a center channel. My biggest complaint with sound is that I find myself constantly lowering or raising the volume to compensate. I typically set it to about 20. I find myself constantly reaching for the remote because, either the sound was too low for the scene, or it was entirely too high. This happens randomly and often. I am sure I will be asked to call customer service. I assure you I am very technical. I have already reset everything a few times, including my tv. This should simply work, like my Sonos system. It’s a shame I threw out the box, otherwise I would return it asap. I love Samsung. My tv’s work perfectly. It’s possible their more expensive soundbars are a bit more reliable, but I doubt it based on similar complaints I came across online. This system will probably end up in some room gathering dust. I regret not getting the Sonos Arc. Night and day. I even tried convincing myself that the soundbar would suffice as either a music system or surround system, but not both. Not the case. It simply doesn’t feel like a true surround sound system, and music reproduction is mediocre at best. Shame.

Trash, the subwoofer went out the first day which also impacts the speakers they are suppose to connect to (Never connected and I’m tech savvy). Called about the issue months ago, and was suppose to get my subwoofer replaced and never got one. What’s crazy is that I never had this issue with Visio. Probably should have stayed with them and their TV and surround sound were cheaper..

By design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.
However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:
1) Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. Depending on your TV, make sure that the Audio Format is set correctly to send Surround Sound to the rear channels. Using either Bitstream, Auto or Passthrough is the most recommended setting. 2) If the source has surround channels, make sure you are using any Sound Mode other than STANDARD as it will not send the correct channels to the rear speakers. 3) Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the CH LEVEL button on the Soundbar remote control. Press the button on the soundbar remote, then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.
