I purchased the sound bar in open box fair condition as i usually do with all my electronic purchases from bestbuy and as usual i was let down. The 9.1.4 surround sound system was none existant as the rear speakers were missing entirely. I had to purchase additional rear speakers to complete the system. The soundbar itself is very beat up, malfunctions all the time, and i cant tell the difference between my tv or the soundbar. It was stuck in demo mode wiith zero instructions on how to change it which was awefuI. As it would turn off and on every couple of minutes. Nothing existed in the user manual so i spent a full day trying random button holds until i finally found a combination of of buttons to disable demo mode. Other people had similar issue but their solution would not work on mine. I purchased this surround sound system for a Samsung qn900b that was in "excellent" but when I received it it was so beat up that it should not have been sold at all. Out of three expensive electronic devices that I purchased from Best Buy in open box format I have been disappointed by each and every single one of them due to either not working properly or not working at all. Unfortunately I was in the hospital during the 15-day trial and so I was unable to return it due to this. 15 days is simply just not enough to be able to fully test a used system from Best Buy because most of them are very beat up regardless of of what condition it stated to be in. Again this review is for a used or open box product not a brand new one and does not reflect upon Samsung's 930B sound system. All the problems exist within Best Buy's rating system unfortunately and the problematic issue that arises when selling a product that is missing vital parts that are needed in order to function as well as the seriously ineffective 15-day return policy which no other electronic store or online retailer offers as a 30-day return policy is the norm for all retailers. Now I am stuck with the non-functioning $600 soundbar and another $200 surround sound speaker kit.

When the format from my Samsung television can make it happen the sound bar and sound system is excellent. For example, the Formula One series on Netflix sounds great through the system

I bought this to replace my Bose 900 setup thinking it might be a little bit better because I have the new Samsung 90b but I was wrong my Bose 900 setup blew this one out of the water so I took it back also it had this green blinding light shining right at you

Had Worst experience , I ordered whole music system they missed soundbar when i try to return it the same day at nearest store they asked to ship back i printed label and shipped, it’s shocking that they again returned the order back to me.

As the title of my review suggests, there’s a few things I wish this system did better at but for the money I paid, I don’t think I’ll find anything better. Sound: this is highly subjective so take it as you may. I and my family LOVE its sound. It has fairly convincing ATMOS effects, and I can hear them well in movies such as “Brave” (Pixar) and the Marvel Infinity War movies. Just superb. However, where it lacks is the muddled bass at times. It’s flobby and can’t reach those profound depths as other dedicated subs and for what this is that’s expected. But as a whole this performs wonderfully. The not so good: at times I find myself having to reset the system as it doesn’t sync with my Sony 4K TV. Doesn’t happen often or frequently but it’s irked me. I wish the subwoofer had a little more control over its bass, you can go 6 steps lower (which I recommend) but then you just get a huge drop to minus 12 (no in between, what gives Samsung?). There is no adjustment for the surround speakers either. So that’s all I have to say about that. Would I buy it again? Only if it’s discounted.

Wow! Watch out when you buy open box items that are rated EXCELLENT no flaws. This just arrived and it looks like is was kicked up and down the warehouse and drove into woth the forklift. Oh and the quality spray paint on the side of box So much for a great Xmas gift for Christmas! Way to go Best Buy.

This sound system is an absolute blast! I love it and it's integration with our Sony TV. It truly rivales my old wired sound system which it replaced. It is well balanced, not to much bass or treble, the mid range is just right. No popping or muffled sound. Well worth the money especially if you consider the cost of setting up a traditional wired sound system.

I started out with an entry level Vizio Dolby Atmos system. Had it for 4 years. Finally decided to upgrade. Did some research and this Samsung soundbar came out with a ton of positive reviews. So I made the investment and man does it pay off. I have had it now for a month and the difference is night and day. Once you tweak the sound settings to your preferences it sounds incredible. Worth every penny. The satellite speakers are wireless but need to be plugged in to work which is no big deal for me. The sub packs a punch when watching action movies or shows and the center speakers pick up even the tiniest of details. If this is in your price point you can't go wrong.

Awesome soundbar. Previous soundbar that this replaced was a Vizio SB46514-F6 5.1.4 setup and the Q930B blows it out of the water. Much easier setup (auto-adjusts to your space). Works really well with Samsung Q-series TV's. Starts up quickly and syncs without lag. Atmos/overhead sound projection (as well as rest of sound stage/quality, but that stands out) is fantastic, easily on par with more expensive home theater setups. Only knock on it is that it isn't particularly cheap... but overall a very good product and value.

Amazing sound. Was hesitant about paying this much for speakers but was worth it. The sound and bass are amazing. Im a soundphile and these satisfied me. Are there better ones? maybe. But for the price this is the closest to the movies Ive ever gotten. Id even say if youre looking to buy a new setup(tv and sound) and are on a budget, then def stepdown your tv to budget for these. makes a massive difference. Anyone who comes over is blown away by them

[Purchased open-box/excellent, for about $50 off.] Love it! Great sound, easy to assemble and hook up (it can be completely wireless, except for the power cords). Personally, we stuck with the HDMI connection to our TV for its extra functionality, etc. (one cable isn't bad....). The sound bar system ~replaced our somewhat older classic home theater 5.1 system. We're going to get rid of the older system's speakers, but keep the receiver as an auxiliary input to the sound bar. So why only 4 stars? We're having some trouble getting the sound destination setting to stay at one value on the connected TV (a 2022 Samsung, the sound bar is 2023; see last paragraph below). Also, there was substantial packing material damage in the box, around the rear speakers, one of which kind-a sort-a physically rattles a bit. It works fine, so not worth returning. Anyway, it is open box. (Oh, no scratches, etc., anywhere on the product itself.) As I said, the sound quality is excellent, so we're glad we bought it. Although, given the packing damage situation above, and the small $$ savings, it probably would have been better to wait for a new one, but they weren't available at the time. In summary, we highly recommend the sound bar. (If you can, and you want a pure Samsung system with all the bells and whistles to work 'flawlessly', best to get the components from the same model year.) {Warning: techno-babble: Part of the difficulty with the setting flakiness mentioned above might be due to incompatibility between the TV and the sound bar, which is nuts if it is the case: they're both Samsung units, only a year apart, with the same features. Yes, if you scan the web, somewhere it says the two series (again, 2022 TV and 2023 sound bar) are not Q-Symphony compatible, but elsewhere it says that our specific model TV in the series IS compatible. (Q-Symphony uses the TV speaker speakers simultaneously with the sound-bar system. Yes, the TV's speakers sound that good, except for the bass, but I digress....}

The HW Q930 sound bar with the Dolby ATMOS sounds fantastic it is a beast full of rich suround sound fills your room with amazing sound that you can feel.

I’ve been a longtime Samsung TV & Home Theater customer since I worked at Best Buy in college. More recently I’ve had their 65” Q7F QLED TV and their MS750 Sound+ Premium Soundbar and have been in love with both ever since I got them a few years ago. But with the introduction of Q-Symphony and Dolby Atmos and experiencing it in store, I decided to get new S95B OLED TV and the HW-Q930B Soundbar. I was debating between the Q990B and Q930B and ultimately decided that two extra channels wasn’t worth the extra dollars when I was already getting 9.1.4 channels with the Q930B. I will say, the in-store demos just don’t do this soundbar justice…AT ALL! You really need to experience it in your home with lower ceilings and closer walls than you’d get in the retail store. When I took it home and got it all plugged in, my TV immediately recognized it and did some cool animation to inform me that Q-symphony was now engaged. I immediately loaded up a Dolby Atmos movie (Zach Snyder’s Justice League), which I had begun the day before using my MS750 Sound+ Soundbar and then continued using the Q930B the next day. Ya’ll know that movie is 4 hours long so there was plenty of movie left to experience with the Q930B. When I tell you I was BLOWN AWAY with the experience of the Q930B, I am not even kidding! I have 16 foot ceilings in my living room and even still, once Dolby Atmos turned on, I felt like there was a cloud of sound circling my head the entire time. If I was a dog, my ears would’ve been constantly moving and pointing in every direction because sound was literally coming at me from all directions and physically felt like it was swirling around my head. Now I’ve been on a hunt to find every 4K movie and TV show that is in Dolby Atmos so I can experience this again and again! The soundbar is amazing even without Atmos content but the Atmos takes it to a whole new level! I would give this 10 stars if I could! I am soooo glad I decided to upgrade and don’t feel I am missing anything that Q990B would’ve given me! Great job Samsung!

No issues so far. Setting up the wireless speakers was smooth and I have not had any issues with them disconnecting. Incredible sound quality over the old $200 bar I was using which was to be expected given this was 4x the cost. Speech clarity is amazing, bass is good, and dolby atmos up-firing speakers on front bar and rear speakers is great. I'm no audiophile, but this unit on sale offers very good value and I have no regrets picking it up. HDMI connection (eARC) was easy, however I recall reading that it did not support 4k passthrough above 60 hz. This may affect external devices (PC, blu-ray player, video game systems), so definitely something to keep in mind. ***At time of review I've got less than 150 hours on the speakers so far. I will update if any connectivity or other issues arise***

Absolutely amazing system. Rear speakers and sub woofer need an electrical outlet by them since they all have own individual power cords, but are all wireless!!! Subwoofer delivers crisp low bass. The sound bar is the champ though with multiple speakers, absolutely amazing for movie watching or game playing. Highly recommended!!

I was lucky to get a floor display model the at very low low price of $340. The soundbar was stuck in SHOP MODE and none of the buttons worked on the spundbar, now way to reset the bar from the physical soundbar. NO HOLDING THE VOLUME DOWN, OR ANYTHING!. HOW I DID IT A RESET OUT OF SHOP MODE. I had purchase a 3rd party samsung soundbar remote from amazon. With the soundbar on thru the remote switch input to D.IN once in this mode, on the remote i pressed and held the setting button that looks like a bolt/screw for over 15 seconds and you will see the soundbor go into INT which is factory reset. The soundbar is very nice. The dialog is very clean and the bass is very good and surround in on point!

Great unit, setup was very easy and the price was $900 during black friday. Movies and music sound great, good high and low notes. Was nice to see the speakers and sub be wireless but plugged into a wall. I read the the wireless JBL speakers that recharge don't have replaceable batteries, so that long term reliability was a concern for me. Sound-bar and speakers have good quality materials and feel like they will hold up like my other Samsung tv and audio devices have. I have an LG C2 ordered and can't wait to see how it works with it. Currently running with a Samsung MU8000 with PS5 and XBX The only things I don't like is the no explanation in the manual for the different sound modes. I also don't like that the screen on the soundbar is very tiny. You can only see 3 letters or so of every word it shows.

First when you are new to Dolby Atmos & dont kno how it really works, you are expecting great sound from your local weather channel, well my friends then i started watching Dolby Atmos Content & my Soundbar WOKE UP, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Peacock , Apple TV, u have a Movie Theater in your home.

Excellent quality would absolutely recommend. If you like the sound of a movie theatre but not going to an actual movie theatre this is for you. I personally put the subwoofer behind my couch and it gives it a little extra something. Even without the two addition speakers the sound bar alone gives a surround sound quality that is unparalleled. The fact that the two extra speakers work on Bluetooth is also great I put one in my kitchen so I never miss anything my that’s happening when I’m making snacks!
