    Good Laptop

I returned three new laptops because they claimed to be full HD. I stopped my search when I came across this laptop. It's a true full HD screen. If a bright screen is important to you, you'll be content with this laptop. I also run computer simulations and it processes them at a professional speed. It delivers on everything it promises. The one quirk is with the touchscreen. If you use Chrome, you will notice a lag in response or off-selection. However, I do not have this problem when using Edge or Firefox. The battery life goes from anywhere to 4 to 6 hours. It really depends on what you are doing with the laptop while unplugged. I did notice that when the screen brightness is dimmed by about two notches, it adds about two extra hours on the battery. Those who complain about battery life are probably using poor settings or spoiled by the hours you get with MAC.

    Bought and return

I really wanted to love this exact laptop that you see for sale now; I also bought it open box. Kept it for 2 days and returned due to inconsistency. Sometimes it would get to the desktop in 1 minute and other times 5 minutes. I had uninstalled all W10 apps I won't use, turned off all tiles and stopped Google Drive and One Drive from syncing during startup but still inconsistent. Would I blamd the 5400 rpm HDD? probably so since I don't have that problem with a PC that has a SSD. Would I blame SAMSUNG build and OS? probably. I'll admit that it's a good looking 2 in 1, a little heavy for a portable and 12GB of memory does not help this laptop. Have to say that the screen looks great and the backlighted keyboard is wonderful when it came on at boot up...

    Dissapointed About the Screen

Initially I thought that this Laptop had the best specifications for the price. I mean Latest i5 processor, 12GB ram, 1TB hard drive. I would even say that this also had a very compact design. The screen was very sturdy; the keyboard was great with its fn toggle switch. It even ran all my applications fast. I would say it was much faster than my MacBook pro mid-2012 model. Everything was perfect with exception to the webcam which was simply horrible. it was a very bad excuse for a web cam as though Samsung just wanted to say that the laptop has a web cam. It was so bad that I rather that the computer simply didn't come with one. I was still OK with that until I started working after dark. I noticed that I was getting eye strains along with a head ache. I didn't understand what the deal was. I never had anything like that using my Mac or my Acer v5 which was a 4 years old. later that evening I thought about creating a review video about my new laptop and I pointed the camera towards the screen. It was then I noticed that the screen had gray horizontal lines moving down vertically as though I was liking at a CRT monitor from the 90s. It turns out that I only got the headache while I was working on a word document for 15 minutes and not while I was watching a movie those invisible gray stripes moving down vertically was responsible for my headache. Apparently, this laptop was designed for entertainment and not for serious work in mind. I got curious if the my macbook pro or Acer V5 had the same gray lines moving down vertically and the answer was no, they didn’t and so they didn’t strain my eyes or give me a head ache. I created a video of the gray lines. The lines are not visible to the naked eye, but it is visible on camera https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3x0VIyCtmSs

    Slow hard drive

We have two of these computers in our household, because two other laptops died at the same time and we replaced them with these Samsung 7 Spins. The 1TB hard drives are very slow, resulting in slow performance and slow boot times. I tested the speed by pulling the hard drive and connecting it to a desktop computer via SATA cable direct to motherboard. It took 30 seconds to write a 5GB folder. In comparison, the same 5GB folder took only 15 seconds to write to a normal 7200 rpm internal hard drive and just 5 seconds to write to an SSD. I fixed this problem by replacing the hard drive in the 7Spins with an SSD (Crucial Model ct525mx300SSD4). This has improved the performance of the laptops considerably and now I would say the performance is very good, whereas before the hard drive change, to me the performance of the 7Spin was not acceptable.

    Great Laptop For Price

This laptop is small and light, a lot lighter than my old six pound laptop! The trackpad is very responsive and I haven't had any blips with the cursor. Having the option to install an ssd is nice, and 12gb of ram is plenty for the programming I do. The laptop isn't as sleek as others, so if you're looking for some slick design then this is not the laptop for you. I am giving it four stars instead of five simply because there isn't a dedicated graphics card, though those are pretty rare for 2-in-1s and simply nonexistent if you want the screen size to be below 15". I am a computer science major at college and I haven't had any issues with this laptop. As long as you aren't trying to play lots of intense video games or attempting 3D modeling or anything else that requires a strong GPU, then this should serve you well.

    Samsung Product

This is my second laptop that I've owned from Samsung. Let me tell you that it does not disappoint. It works perfectly for a college student. The price isn't outrageous. You get what you pay for. Battery life is sufficient. I have had no issues whatsoever with it. If you need a portable, reliable laptop that you need to take to school or work with you, I would recommend this.

    Very slow

I have been very disappointed with this laptop. It never worked correctly from the beginning. At first it would not load Windows. I took it back a few times to have support get it to boot. But it has always been slow sometimes to the point of unusable. Best Buy would not replace it even though it never worked correctly. I am going have to buy another laptop to replace it. But not Best Buy. Avoid this laptop and save your money.

    Disappointed in this computor

First, never had a battery run low so fast even though I have the system on optimal. Second, the on/off switch is on the right edge, just where my hand goes. Continuously shutting down. Finally, the touch pad is super, super sensitive. Too sensitive. The only thing I like is that you can go from laptop to tablet easily.

Track pad seems loose and rattles with every entry

Over all the computer seems quite nice. This is my second 13.3" 7 Spin in two weeks. I returned the first one because the whole track pad would move up and down with every tap. It didn't seem to affect the entry but I was afraid it would get worse with time and become a problem. I exchanged it for another one I'm typing on now and while this track pad doesn't move up and down as the other one it rattles with every tap. I don't know it this is a problem with this model or I just happened to get two with issues. The model on display at the store I bought it at doesn't do either. I did not read about this being a problem in any reviews. I'm still debating whether to return it for something else as if this is a manufacturing defect I don't want it to become my problem down the road.

    Didn't last long...

Please note: I am not the most tech savvy person. Purchased Jan. 28, 2018 to use for a Microsoft Office class. (We have a Mac at home.) For me the touch pad was annoying (hard to move what I wanted and other times touch so light would send me to other places!), so bought a mouse which was more functional for me. While it worked, was pretty good. Speed was fine. First problem was after a month, it wiped out my USB where I had all my homework. I thought it was user error and was just more careful. It happened again this past Wed. Took it into Geek Squad today to ascertain where the problem was occurring. As the Geek guy was checking it out, lost internet connection, he re-started it, got different error messages, then it began to reboot itself endlessly. Needless to say, he ended up checking it in for complete servicing, so now I will be without it for at least 4 days. Might be a complete lemon....at any rate, based on my experience, I cannot recommend it.

Day 4 was the first time I ised it since day 2 and all it continued to do was crash I would get an error message sayinf "pc encountered and problem restarting" it did it 4x in a row before I closed it amd said it will go back.

I've never had a PC act like this. Great out of the box but ignores the power settings and hates browsers other than the preloaded MS one. Returning this garbage for a "real" pc as soon as I can. Run & run fast from this garbage attempt at a computer :-(
