Customers enjoy the Notebook 7 Spin's touchscreen, ease of use, and performance. Many appreciate its lightweight design and compact size, along with the positive comments on battery life and value for the price. The ample RAM is also frequently praised. While some users noted that the laptop can get warm, this was a less frequent concern.

Would definitely reccommend!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a PC laptop for basic use: surfing the internet, writing documents, blogging, and watching the occasional video. I wanted a backlit keyboard and the option to use as a tablet or a laptop. Coming from a MacBook Pro I tried many different types of laptops but found that graphics and responsiveness (especially in the trackpad) was always lacking. Until I found this laptop I was concerned I would not get everything I wanted without repurchasing a MacBook. This 2-in-1 is extremely responsive when using the trackpad or the touchpad, I feel like it always does what I want it to quickly and without hesitation. It will auto rotate when turned to portrait mode (something that does not come standard on other 2-in-1's), It has a backlit keyboard that is very similar to the MacBook keyboard, making my transition very simple. The backlighting is adjustable with low, medium, and high settings. The graphics are crisp and beautiful, and the speakers are better than I would have expected for such a tiny machine. The tablet itself feels solid and I am not afraid I am going to break it when switching from laptop to tablet mode. Overall, I am extremely happy with this product and would recommend anyone looking for a quality laptop at a great price.

Best quality laptop so far at this price point
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this on sale last week with a student coupon so that made it in the lowish 500's. Cleaned the system up by eliminating all extra antivirus programs and reactivation of Defender. Set it to max performance and disabled flash player. Cleaned disk, and defragged. As fast as a Surface with the same specs after boot. With no SSD boot is slow as it should be. Aluminum case is perfect. Solid quality unit and my second laptop from Samsung.

SAMSUNG QUALITY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice quality unit. Be sure to not run any antivirus etc except Win 10 built in Defender and remove all other anti virus programs. Norton is a hog and disables Defender. Defender is all you need. You will get pushed the Win 10 anniversary update. All good on the updates.

Oops- didn't read the specs, but still love it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fast and responsive, good quality for price! I was not paying attention to the specs carefully when I purchased it, as I was planning on going with SSD. Not a problem, as this boots up pretty fast and surfs great. Overall very happy with the quality and like the backlit keyboard far more than anticipated. Typing on it is comfortable- keyboard is not too small and responsive. I do miss the keypad, but not a deal breaker. Touchpad is very responsive, as is the touchscreen. I don't think you can buy a case for this so check first if that is important to you. I am not a gamer so I cannot comment on that, but for surfing and basic productivity use it works extremely well! Display is bright and crisp. Speakers are what one would expect. Love the screen size, as the 11 inch is too small, but 14 and up is unwieldy for me to lug around to conferences and such. Not the lightest tablet/laptop out there but light enough. Perfect for my use as a teacher.

Not a tablet, but decent laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this sight unseen to replace a surface pro 2 that died prematurely. It is too large and heavy to function properly as a tablet, but it works just fine as a laptop for MS Office tasks and browsing if portability is not a concern. I bought it in November during the sale but the manufacture date on the bottom is July - be prepared for hour after hour of Windows 10 and Samsung updates. I've probably spent more time updating and restarting than actually using the device.

Great laptop, but...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this laptop, it looks great, outstanding keyboard and love the fact that it can handle 32GB of ram (BBY specs incorrect), Samsung specs show 32GB. This is primary reason to make the purchase. One huge drawback is the internal Toshiba 1TB 5400 RPM Drive. It is soooo slow....takes 6-8 minutes on startup to get out of 100% disk access. I cant wait to upgrade it to SSD and also install an M.2 SSD as well. (have to wait because of warranty. Like I said, this is a great laptop, (is very expandable), but comes with very poor drive.

Just what we needed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer hit all the marks. It has just the right speed, memory, etc. The HD screen is awesome. The 360 flip makes it simple to convert to a tablet. The size is perfect.

Good laptop but would not recommend
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop about a month ago (August). I basically like everything about it except the weight (it's a bit heavy). I owned a non-Samsung laptop before (review guidelines say I can't name other products) [?], and it was very light, compared to this laptop. Apart from being HEAVY, the other CONS of this laptop are: -Essentially, NO WEBCAM: yes, the laptop comes with a webcam, but Skype doesn't detect it and neither do other audio and video calling software. Funny though, I can CALL people and I CAN hear them, but they CAN'T hear me--at all. Also, thinking about a video call? No way! Skype or any other software for that matter, won't detect the webcam. -TOUCHPAD/MOUSE ACTS CRAZY: there are times when the mouse does weird stuff; like I want to scroll across a page, but somehow it is HIGHLIGHTING the text on the page. Also, there are times when I try to copy/paste and it pastes the info. back-to-front. I Googled, read different articles, updated drivers, checked my settings for the mouse, trackpad, keypad etc. but it STILL does that--I would say every 2-3 days. I'ts a nuisance because the ONLY way (so far) I can get the mouse to start working properly is by RESTARTING the system. I CAN'T afford to do that everytime. So a SUMMARY: Good laptop except for 1. essentially NO WEBCAM, and 2. TRACKPAD AND MOUSE ISSUES. Would I recommend? I'm torn. The Skype problem is a major one for me (I'm a businesswoman and at times, I need to have calls with my clients); also, having to restart my laptop JUST to get the mouse/trackpad to work is NOT cool. So for these 2 reasons, I would NOT recommend. Other than that, if you don't mind these issues, it's totally worth it! Yes, I bought this at Bestbuy. No, this is not paid.

its not the galaxy S7 version of a laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung, hits it out of the park every year with there Galaxy phone, however there laptops lack many of the essential features that make the phone so successful. I am currently on my 4th laptop since black friday, started with ASUS, to SAMSUNG, to ASUS to HP ency and still not content. PROS . incredibly durable, piratically made of steel. excellent port options and easily accessible. NEG. = heavy as a brick, all the weight 5 lbs, is in the base, and is really put in perspective when attempting to use it as a tablet, almost defeating its purpose. = Battery life is atrocious, 2 to 3 hours tops = Camera, this was ultimately the deal breaker for me, because they decided to go back a decade and incorporate a built in 480P!!!! And that goes for the 15.6" as well as the notebook 5, all have 480p cameras that are just a disgrace

Two drawbacks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would be a 5 except for 2 things that stand out. The power button is in a place where if you pick the machine up by the sides it shuts off. And the touchpad needs a sensitivity setting, as when you type and hit the pad, the cursor jumps elsewhere. Other than that they are nice machines. Bought one for xmas present too.

Best quality laptop at this price point
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a high quality laptop that does not have a high end graphics card. You will need to spend another $200 or more to get a higher end graphics card or more than 8GB of memory. This is the one eh!

Glitchy, slow, terrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the same Macbook for the last 6 years and it's worked so well up until recently. I did a lot of research and since I'm on a tight budget I decided to go with a PC for my next laptop purchase because of comparable (if not better) specs for way less cost. This computer seemed great, the touch screen and 2-in-one features were "cool" and I was very excited to give this a try and make the switch over to PC. Unfortunately after just a week of having this laptop, it was slow, glitchy and randomly shutting down/performing updates. The touch screen was not all that responsive and the "cool" factor was no longer there as the laptop was useless. I returned it ASAP (which I'll say Best Buy made very easy) and I'm going to just go the extra cost to buy a Macbook Air. I REALLY wanted to like this laptop and PCs in general but after that experience, I'm never cheaping out again.

Terrible item, total regret
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is just like my new s7--total waste of money. They both shut down randomly and unexpectedly. I've had to reformat them both at least once a week since I got them, and I use all the web protection provided by Norton and Webroot. Do not buy this total piece of s%#t. It'll stop working immediately after the return period is over.

Battery issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything about this computer worked great besides the battery. Within 48 hours of getting this computer it would only charge to 98%, so I exchanged it for another, and the same problem happened. I ended up returning the second one and getting a MacBook Air.
