Heat vent directly under bottom top just above keyboard. just made it impossible to put on my lap when i work from home. IF you are desk lover you should be fine. Little bit heavy compare to other competitors

Solid Device, but with a few flaws

I am a big fan of Samsung Products, I feel like they make great devices and they are always innovating. This is overall a solid choice, but it falls kind of flat for me. The design itself is alright, nothing to get excited about. It feels light, but the materials used makes this kind of feel plasticky. I would be very nervous if this took a tumble, as I would expect significant damage just based on the overall feel/craftsmanship. The specs are solid, the onboard RAM is kind of a dissapointment, although every manufacturer is going this route. The screen on this device is quite nice. The 2-1 features work as expected, the pen is built in to store it which is nice. The positioning of the pen location is a bit odd and it is a little bit difficult to get the pen out of the laptop. The pen works great and Samsungs software for the pen is fantastic, reminds me a lot of the Note series phones, so that is nice to have. I wish the stylus felt more substancial, as it is a little bit small for my liking, I think it is fine for annotating, but I wouldn't want to do any serious drawing on this. It's just too small for me. Overall, I think it is a solid device. It is a decent performer, and I've never had any reliability issues with Samsung. A little refinement on the design and implementation and Samsung will have a winner.

I was in a market for a new 2 in 1 for some time. The two must have in a new 2 in 1 was good screen and good battery life.As far as the screen brightness, the Notebook 9 Pro, by far is the best, with the outdoor and night mode to suit your needs. No matter how good the battery life is on competition, the ability to charge from the battery pack(s) can keep your machine running for days without charging the battery directly from the wall outlet. The hinges are firm and sturdy keep the touchscreen from bouncing , unlike one of the competitors (HP), which feels like the good wind gust will put the unit into 180% mode. Micro SD slot , full HDMI, two USB 3 , type C, built in pen, make this PC truly outstanding.

Super fast computer. I've had it for about a month and love it. I wish the hard drive was bigger than 256 GB. My only complaint is the right angle on the charging cable. I've already bent it, but it still works. I previously had a Dell i7 and this Samsung is so much faster.

I've had this laptop for a year now and I have to say its performance has been outstanding. I got this laptop for college because I wanted to have something to rely on when doing my college assignments. The s-pen is great I use it in class to take notes and all my professors are blown away by its capabilities. This laptop has been snappy and quick and I have noticed zero lag throughout my one year of usage. The battery is great it can last all day. And you can also have some fun with it and play some Fortnite. Whenever I play Fortnite the game runs smoothly and no overheating happens. I would recommend this laptop to everyone....

Bought this laptop at the beginning of the year for school and it's very nice. Very light weight, beautiful design and functions very well. The speakers aren't as loud as I expected but that's only minor. I'd recommend.

Good Buy, Easy Start-up, Great Display

After 3 weeks, still highly pleased with computer. Hardware is great. "Function Key" usage is a little unusual, but I will adapt. The bluetooth and wifi are rock solid. Startup is remarkably fast. The only difficulty I am having is with the "Samsung Recovery" app which refuses to load. Attempts to get assistance from Samsung Customer Service have been futile so far, will keep trying. Not a deal breaker. All in all, a really good machine. I am highly pleased with the purchase.

Overall is a solid product, Fast CPU, fast SSD, great build quality and nice touches like the S-Pen and the MS Hello camera login, which works all the time without any issues. My only con is the screen resolution 1920x1080, even the screen image and colors are great , I hate a 1080 screen, why no a more useful 1920x1200 or even better 1920x1280?

After owning a Lenovo, HP, and Dell, this unit is my favorite. The processor is fast, the color is excellent, set up was easy, and memory is more than adequate. I love the thin/small size and screen. I would recommend this to everyone. Plus, ordered from BB, and received it quickly!

    Disappointment

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I normally don't post reviews but now I would like to write one because of the great disappointment I am in. I made a lot of searches and read a lot of reviews before I purchased this computer. I am a good Samsung user from mobile devices to pc and purchased this one because of its price, brand and the specs and especially the reviews I read about it. I was really thinking that I got a good computer but the reality is not like that. I purchased this computer back in January and today I am shipping it to Samsung for the technical remedy for the following reasons: Performance issue. Like I said I purchased this computer back in January and since day 1, I have been experiencing performance issues, like slowness on the browser, and some other apps. First, I thought that may be due to the internet speed but no, that was not it. I have been connecting to the internet through hard wire with FIOS gigabit internet connection and I keep checking my download and upload speed which is really high but still, the pages don't load for ages. Especially when scrolling up and down on the pages (i.e: in my email inbox or browsing something ordinary on websites) it keeps pausing or not responding fast enough. It makes me think that I am using my old pc. Battery life. Battery life was nice in the beginning but it has gradually gone worse. In less than six months, I can say I am only able to use this Samsung - Notebook 9 Pro in charge. The battery is not charging easily, I have to wait like 5+ hours to get it fully charged. If I am able to fully charge it, it shows me less than 2 hours which is the worst battery life I have ever seen. During the last week I fully charged the computer a few times and shut that down completely before going to bed, but the pc would never turn back on in the morning because the battery drained, yes, even when it was completely shut down... When I talk to the Samsung rep he said that they may need to change the whole motherboard and the battery so this issue may not be a general issue and may only be specific to my device but still, take this into consideration. I would recommend going with at least 12 or 16 GB Ram as it looks like 8GB is not good enough from experience.

Screen developed hair line fracture after 4 months

Everything about this notebook is fine but beware: the screen cracked after 4 months. This happened under normal use - I closed the screen and heard a crack. I opened and could see the stress fracture from the side when the screen was black. Samsung refused to cover under warranty stating they didn't have enough sample size to prove it was a defect and therefore it cost me $300 for repair on a 4 month old notebook.

Nice Laptop wrapped in Tin Foil

The laptop is great functionally, but the outside case is shockingly thin and unsubstantial. I treat my laptops like fancy crystal and still have various dents in the top. I've owned a lot of laptops and have never experienced such a flimsy case.

    Dissappointed

Have had this for almost 2 years now with light use. I never use it in 'tablet' configuration. I love the computer a lot, but the hinges suck. Mine just gave out and I have to spend approx. $75 for a new base, the same for hinge, and labor, totaling $250. Repair guy told me he sees this ALOT on these. Other brands are better hinged, but maybe not as good in performance. But then, what good is performance if the basic build quality sucks. Samsung should spend a little more time on their computers, like their phones.
