Early Christmas Gift my son loved it. He said it is very easy to use

Love computer but I went online to order wireless mouse and decided to have the on line helper pick one for me so I would get the correct one for this computer. I bought the suggested mouse, but when I received it, it did not work with this computer. I was not happy because with the virus I am not leaving my house and could not return to store.

The latest Samsung Notebook 9 Pro is a marvel of a professional/student laptop. The Samsung laptop is extremely easy and fun to use. It is built like a steel trap and is constructed to feel just the right amount of heavy without being too light. The profile is very thin. It is no trouble to hold, use or move it because of the size and weight is evenly balanced. It doesn’t come with a CD/Optical Drive but most everything is downloadable these days. I haven’t missed the drive. It uses Windows 10 along with Microsoft Edge as the browser. This is something most of us are used to by now. If you can’t locate what you are looking for, Cortana the voice assistant can definitely help you find it. I use Cortana all the time for Bluetooth settings and finding a device, a folder, an app or music. I also like that I can use it to get trivial facts that might come in handy. You can also change to Chrome if you would like to. The screen size is 13.3 inches and is the perfect size to carry around in a backpack or slingbag. The resolution of is Full HD at 1080p. It looks fantastic with the size of the 13.3 inch screen. I have downloaded and watched movies from several streaming services. There have been no issues or skips in running them on the Samsung laptop. I have also played several games from the Microsoft store. It looks and plays amazing. The touch screen is easy to use and even comes with a special pen. You can use the Pen instead of your fingers so you don’t have to worry about prints. When using the Pen it only takes a light/medium tap on the screen to obey your commands. Selecting, closing or choosing a file, the Pen is up to the task. Once you get completely used to it, you’ll forget to even use your fingers. The keyboard is a little bigger than other laptops I have tried and also backlit. Yeah, you can type in the dark if you so desire. The “qwerty” keyboard is just as comfortable as using a stand alone for a desktop computer. I haven’t had any trouble switching back and forth from the laptop and desktop computers. This particular Samsung model can be used in a regular laptop postion, tent and full closed back for more of a tablet feel. This is a great time to use the Pen or if you prefer your fingers. This kind of movement makes the Samsung a winner in flexibility. I love the Bluetooth feature because it allows me to play music on a Bluetooth speaker. Since there is no CD/Optical Drive, Bluetooth is great to have. You can also keep other type of peripherals like wireless printers or even TV. I had no trouble connecting a wireless printer and am very happy with the results. You don’t have to worry about keeping apps running at the same time on the Samsung laptop. 8GB of RAM will allow all those things to happen efficiently. I had no lag or interruptions with several windows open and music playing. The power at the core of this Samsung laptop is an Intel i7 8th generation chip. This laptop really flies. Looking up folders, programs whatever you would like on the laptop is definitely helped by the i7 processor. It has the future of all ports: two Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) connections. You can daisy chain up to 6 devices with a host. The Thunderbolt port can have up to speeds of 40Gbps! That is much faster (10Gbps-20Gbps) than the previous connections of the Thunderbolt 1 and 2. The two previous versions had to have separate power supplies. The Thunderbolt 3 cables provide the fast connection and power, together. The SSD harddrive is 256 GBs, which means it will find your info fast with no moving parts. This keeps the heat down and it keeps the laptop very quiet. Now I know it is only 256 GB but you will be surprised how much information can be stored. You can write papers, writings, proposals, movies (streaming) and games and still not fill it up. I had no trouble with space at all. Battery life I would rate in the upper half. I have used the Samsung laptop on consecutive days for around 4 hours. I was pleased that I didn’t have to charge it until the second day. It works for me. My experience with the Samsung Notebook 9 Pro is a real winner in all phases of computing, as well as versatility, speed and size. It is a top notch laptop.

Easy to use. Great graphics Good for work with personal business

After 5 years on an iMac, it was time for a change. An unbeatable deal had popped up, and I was overdue for a new toy. As an amateur illustrator switching from a wired graphic tablet/pen to drawing on screen was heaven. Couple this with the I7 processor, I could not be more happy. Two months of using this tool and there has not been one lag. I love it.

In general, it is a lightweight laptop with very fast processor and long lasting battery. The size of this laptop makes it very convenient for daily use or for travelling device. Win10 is running nice on it. Samsung did not install a lot of bloatware on it. I only removed the antivirus shipped with it. I like the windows defender more. The keyboard is better than expected. It is not my first Samsung laptop and I usually don't like their keyboards. This one is just ok. Not very deep travel but not noisy typing and the buttons are well spaced. I know it is a U series 8th generation intel i7 but it is running very well. The fan runs on and off sometimes. Mainly when using some heavy applications. The screen lighting is ok. Colors are not very vivid but enough for my usage. Every thing work very well. As expected. The finger print unlock is very fast and responsive. The location of the button is not very good but it is still ok. Speakers are loud enough. No complains... The screen bezels are not very large. It is a small laptop with kind of narrow screen but still very capable. The track pad is very large. I mean VERY large. but maybe some people like it like that. Over all, nice work laptop with very high performance components.

I really, really like using this computer. If you are reading this review, then you are probably interested in a lightweight 13 inch, 2-in-1 device for school or work. Samsung has entered competition in this arena with the Notebook 9 Pro, and if you are considering an HP Spectre X360 or Dell XPS, you should definitely take the Notebook Pro for a spin as well. Particularly positive features of this device include: - Cool running; during routine use there is minimal heat on the bottom. - Light weight! - Quiet performance; I almost never hear the whispering of the fans, and the keyboard taps will not annoy your neighbor. - Lovely display; 1080p is fine for a 13 inch display. Some reviewers have criticized the maximum brightness as “dim”, but I feel comfortable in a well-lit room with the screen set to 60%. - Excellent build quality; no creaks or wobbles here. I can use the touch screen while in traditional clamshell mode without the screen wiggling. It is very stable while typing on my lap. I use the Notebook Pro to run my electronic medical record, and in this capacity it excels. I carry it from room to room, and when I open the lid and touch the fingerprint sensor, the programs resume immediately. I can draw diagrams and formulas with the included stylus (and the HP and Microsoft N-trig styli also work with this device!) Design: Some reviewers are critical of the overall design, calling it a “MacBook clone”. It may be- I think the MacBook is a beautiful device. I feel the Notebook 9 Pro has a classic, professional look. I don’t want a device that diverts attention away from the business at hand. Ports: The type-C USB ports are all I need. If you have any type-A devices around, you will need a dongle. Keyboard: The new style of “shallow action” keys is an acquired taste. I have a very light touch when I type, so this keyboard suits me well. Keyboards are very personal, however, and someone with a heavy hand may prefer a device with a more aggressive action. Stylus: A standard N-trig battery-powered pen is included. For some reason, professional reviewers lose their pens if there is not a storage spot in the computer for them. I have never lost a pen. Put it in your pocket. The inking experience is delightful… taking longhand notes with OneNote is a superb way to document lectures or interviews. Trackpad: The glass Precision trackpad on the Notebook 9 Pro is as good as any I have used. Speakers: The small, downward-facing speakers are adequate for notifications and conferencing. Use an external speaker if you want good music quality (there is a headphone jack). Battery life: I was hoping for the stellar battery life that Samsung has provided with the standard Notebook 9. However, I can get through most of my day before I need to re-charge. 7 hours is about right. Nitpicks (things I would change if I could): - A more rational way to toggle the Function keys (I can use Fn Lock so that I can use the function keys to change brightness, volume, etc., but I would prefer not having to do that). - The power-on LED is a bright blue dot on the lid by the F1 key, and it is distracting (I may put a piece of tape over it, or play with the BIOS to see if it can be disabled). - I have gotten to prefer a 3:2 display ratio; also an AMOLED option would be nice. If the display could get 400 nits it would be easier to see in direct sunlight. - Although the fingerprint reader has been very reliable for me, Windows Hello with facial recognition would have been a nice feature. Overall, I would recommend the Notebook 9 Pro very highly to anyone who is in the market for a powerful, portable 2-in-1 computer in 2019. Given the combination of build quality, features, and price, the Notebook Pro represents one of the very best values in this market segment today.
