Not so good picking up cat hair from low pile carpet , not like the powerbot 9050 I used it for 7 months every day , I think it is the brush because the new model has more suction ( 20 w ) compare to (9.5 w) , still a good product , I May have to order the combo brush and cover for the 7040 model , or return the vacuum back and wait for the new model 7065 it comes with same suction and battery life for 7070 with combo brush , but no pricing or availability yet from Samsung website. This vacuum not easy to stuck in corners like the old one .

This robotic vacuum takes the chore out of vacuuming the house. Just set a vacuuming schedule then sit back and relax as your new robot butler does the rest. The top mounted, ceiling tracking camera makes sure no area is missed and the strong suction means everything will be picked up on the first pass. This Samsung robot will vacuum circles around a Roomba.

I've had other robot vacuma before, but I can definitely say this is the best one by far. The app makes it super convenient to set schedules and to tell it how hard to vacuum a certain surface. So you don't even have to be at home to tell it to clean! The screen on the 7070 model makes it much easier to read than other models also. The 7070 model has a much higher suction than other brand models which makes it ideal for people that have pets like me. I vacuum pretty regularly, but when the Samsung vacuum went on it's first cleaning, the entire bin was full with dust and cat hair. The vacuum is smart enough to know how much battery it has left, so while cleaning, if it has a low battery and hasn't finished, it will go to the docking station, charge, and then finish cleaning! That's amazing. I would buy this product over and over again, I don't have a songel complaint.

I love this robot vacuum! Took some time for it's initial charge but after that it was off and running. I have very dark wood floors with rugs here and there and it has no issues with the dark wood or transitioning onto the rugs of various thicknesses. When it hits the rugs the motor ramps up and gets busy then quiets back down when back on the wood. I know it's minor but I love that it came with a spare washable filter. The catch bin is super easy to remove and clean. Also this unit gets to the corners better than most not bot vacuum's. I'm most likely not going to use the included remote, I played with it a bit but it has a function that you can target on room and that makes more sense to use. I also have a stick vac that would take much less time to operate than spending the time controlling the bot. The app is fun and interesting but might not use that much either. I run it during the day and my floors have stayed much nicer ever since. I messed with it a bit and moved obstacles during it's return to the base station and it made it back every time after a bit of bouncing around.

Upon receiving this, I thought that there is no way that it could come close to the other vacuum I love that starts with D and ends with N. But after running it a couple times I was very impressed. The "AI" works very well, and it is able to navigate my house without much issue. Every once in a while it would get stuck under a bed, or suck up a shoe lace, but after that learning curve, I was able to get it to run my whole house without issue. I have two dogs and a cat, so pet hair is an issue that come with owning pets. The past few days I had this vacuum run twice a day, and it does a phenomenal job. It will run for about 15 minutes before it needs to return to the base to recharge. I had mine set on "Maximum" suck setting. While this vacuum doesn't do quite as well as my standard vacuum on one pass, being able to run this one twice a day without lifting a finger makes up for it. One minor issue is the Samsung Home app that controls this robot vacuum via WiFi will not work on a "rooted" Android device, but I was able to run it from my iPhone without any issues.

This Samsung POWERbot™ R7070 Robot Vacuum really sucks...in a GREAT way. We have a very active household and a dog with long hair which has lead to dust bunnies the size of Guinea pigs in no time and the POWERbot R7070 has no problem plowing through them in one pass. It cruises around it's area very quietly and efficiently. It is a delight to have and has given me back my vacuum time to put to better use. I love it!!! It's only drawback also leads to a benefit...It does not do well with tasseled rugs. It does, however, let me know immediately that it has lost its battle with the rug and needs to be reset on a new path to continue making my house a dirt-free environment. Overall I give it a 4.8/5 and will recommend it to all of my friends. Thank you Samsung for making a Robot Vacuum I am excited about.

So i have owned many other robot vacuums, they all had one thing in common...they never had enough power. I opted to go with the Powerbot R7070 as it advertised as having good sucking power. WOW, this thing is amazing, we have ceramic tile, hardwood and carpet, it handles transitioning easily and even adjusts its sucking power accordingly. once it is done, or runs out of power, it heads back to its base! EASY! I set mine up to run at 9am daily, it takes it about 2 hours (charges 2 times in between) to vacuum everywhere. It has been a life saver! Thank you Samsung for making another great product!

The Samsung POWERbot is a great investment! Not only will you have a cleaner house that can promote healthier living, but you gain valuable time by utilizing its automated scheduling. Plus, the POWERBot is “smart” enough to recharge mid- cleaning and will compete the job once recharged if needed for larger areas. It navigates obstacles without running into them, eases over transitions, and has strong suction overall, but especially when at an edge to clean up all pet hair, debris, etc. I highly recommend the Samsung POWERbot!

I was the owner of a different brand robot vacuum that had slowly begun to have issues. I was excited to try out the Samsung Powerbot R7070. I have a house that has Pergo, carpet, and tile floors. I took the bot out of the box and was able to link to my phone pretty easily since I had a Samsung account. Connecting to Alexa with the right app took a little more work. I was also able to connect to Google Home pretty easily. Now if I can just remember the commands. I end up controlling it from my phone most times or checking in to see the status while at work. I set up a daily cleaning schedule. At this time the app only allows you to change the time and not customize the days. So if I want to sleep in on Saturday, I have to send the robot back to recharge. How does it clean? Pretty good. I have two large dogs that I am impressed by how much they shed. The bin is full daily of dog hair and dog food. Occassionally it gets a little too full and I have to do some deep cleaning of the bot to ensure it will function properly as it gets clogged at the input. The brush is impressive and hasn't become tangled with hair like a normal vacuum. The self-cleaning function really works. I like that when the filter gets dusty, I can simply rinse it out and keep going. No more paper filters! Most days it cleans without an issue. Every now and then it gets a little lost and I find it wandering around or in the middle of a room. A quick reset and it is ready to clean again. I love that while I work, I can have the floors cleaned in my house! Update 10/28/2018 - About a week ago, my bot would wake me up in the quiet mode. I would then come out later and find the bot wandering around aimlessly not vacuuming. The status showed a full battery so it was not returning home and it showed cleaning. I would clean and reset it but no luck. Now it doesn't even pick up dirt and drives around exploring the house. I had to contact Samsung to send it to a repair center for further investigation. Not too happy about having to manually clean my floors again. Update 11/11/2018 - My Powerbot has made it home. It isn't as quiet in quiet mode as it originally was. I used to be able to have a conversation while it was cleaning, but that is no longer possible. The warranty process was painless after chatting online with a representative. She sent me a link for maintenance and I tried all the tricks, so had to send it in for repair. They replaced some parts and it is back to cleaning.

The Samsung POWERbot R7070 Pet vacuum has made me feel quite lazy because it does such an amazing job at cleaning my floors. I no longer have to figure out how I'm going to cut back on working to fit in vacuuming in my apartment and not disturb others around me. Plus my maine coon 2 year old kitty absolutely loves the company that the vacuum must give him while I'm away at work. My kitty was actually a bit upset at me for not turning on his vacuum before leaving for work the other day. I find it very cute. This vacuum knows what it can and can't handle. It sucked up a thumb tack but after trying to digest it and not able to fully succeed, the vacuum spit it right back out and continued on with it's journey around my living room. The vacuum is able to be heard while running but its not a typical hand held vacuum loud noise. I don't find it necessary to turn the volume up while watching television when the vacuum runs. I have thin carpet and linoleum flooring throughout house, so I never noticed a problem with the thickness of the flooring. The vacuum was very cautious of it's surroundings and only got stuck on top of a cat toy once. The cat toy was, also, a robot sort of toy but with a frantic laser light moving around for the cat. I think the reason the vacuum got stuck on top of the toy was because I opened the front door about that time and it was going by the door. Otherwise, I never seen the vacuum get stuck anywhere else.

I recently received the Samsung Powerbot 7070 pet vacuum. and put it right to work. Although I have no pet, I felt the extra money for twice as much power was worth the difference. The unit works well as advertised, but all the sensors in the world are not going to stop it from sometimes getting stuck under chairs or changing surfaces occasionally. It's just something you get used to, but a good trade-off for not having to push a vacuum around. It's great for complete vacuum jobs, but you'll still need a stick or handheld for those small jobs.

The Samsung Powerbot R7070 vacuum is simply wonderful. It is ideal for every day use. Whether you have a pet or not it is perfect for any home. I have used a conventional vacuum robot and it does not come close to the Samsung R7070's power and style of cleaning. This powerful vacuum cleans the right way or better said it cleans the way I would with an upright vacuum. The competitor seems to not have any set path and goes around bumping into everything in my home, but not the Samsung R7070. Cleaning with it I know my floors will be completely clean from the center of the home to in between furniture and I especially love the way that it hugs the walls. I know that I can count on it to clean the way I would, in straight paths. Whether I'm busy completing other choirs in or out of the house I am confident that my trusty R7070 will not let me down. Believe me I was a sceptic at first but when I saw it in action it I was sold especially after emptying out the easy to release tray, I could not believe how much it had picked up. I highly recommend the Samsung PowerBot R7070 to every household.

Immediately upon receiving the R7070 my wife and four daughters were excited to see this machine work. With so many long haired residents of my home we were curious to see how well this vacuum would hold up! I live in the desert southeast side of Washington State and being a dry and dusty place this automated vacuum was a welcome addition to the family. After running the vacuum daily we immediately noticed a fresher scent to our home, in addition to our four young girls we have 2 American Bully dogs in our home. Our floors gained a nice fresh appearance with the crisp lines that the R7070 would draw into our carpeted areas. Maintaining the R7070 was a daily or every other day occurrence in the beginning due to the amount of hair and debris it was picking up, but with the consistent use it has become less and less of an occurrence to clean out the brush from hair and empty the debris bin. Even in the many corners and angles of our 1700 sq. ft floor plan the vacuum does a fine job keeping up with our cleaning needs to supplement our scheduled weekly Vacuuming and sweeping.

The actual vaccuming part of this was amazing. However, it got stuck EVERYWHERE. On my Dining Room table feet. On the edge of a rug it would roll up and decide was an obstacle. Thresholds (well, it will go over these on the highest power settings...) Battery life was okay and I really really wanted to like it, but it just wasn't reliable for use when i'm not home. /sad

I live alone and tend to neglect cleaning, so getting a robot vacuum was a must. This little thing did a better job than I ever could. I loved that I could use it in combo with my Google assistant. It also supports other smart assistants, but I don't have those. I was very pleased with how it transitioned between different types of flooring (eg tile, hardwood, carpet) - and my carpet isn't very short. In the time that I used it, it only got stuck once - and that was because my carpet is starting to come up in that area, not the vaccum's fault. I definitely had a much better experience with Samsung's POWERbot than I did with other brands' similar products. Yet another Samsung product that surpassed my expectations!

I've been using the Samsung R7070 for a couple of weeks. This is the first robotic vacuum cleaner I've purchased. I bought it because it the description indicated that it could be used with pets, and because it featured a self-cleaning brush. Out of the box I was surprised by the vacuum’s weight which is just under 10 pounds, which makes some others I have handled feel like toys. The unit comes well packed with its charging cradle power supply, roll of thin plastic to mark off no go areas, remote control and an extra filter. Set up was easy: position the base, plug it in, and place the vacuum on its base to charge. The vacuum has a built in LED display that displays battery and function status. The battery is pre-installed, so you just peel off the protective plastic and assemble the dirt cup, which snaps into the unit where it sits flush with the top. The dirt cup has a clear top so you can see when it's full. To see how well it cleaned, I vacuumed a roughly 300 square foot room 3 times with a full-sized Shark vacuum. The room is L-shaped with a fireplace, a few loungers, a few dog beds, an aquarium, and a coffee table, with no uniform pathways. I hit the automatic mode and returned periodically to make sure there were no problems. The POWERbot vacuumed for 1 hour and 9 minutes before it returned to its charging station on its own. In that time, I emptied the dirt cup 5 times despite the fact that the room was thoroughly vacuumed 3 times with a full-sized vacuum prior to its run! The dirt cup was packed with fine silt and fur, but the rubber roller did not have a single hair wound around it. Moreover, the POWERbot covered every patch of carpet it could reach, and no areas were missed. The bot even cleaned against all the baseboards and chairs, rotating its flat side against every edge, increasing suction as it did. I cannot even begin to express how impressed I was. The display even read "Edge Cleaning" while it did, and you could hear the motor speed up. The POWERbot can also raise itself up to clean edges and work around obstacles. It had no issues getting across carpet edges, transitioning to smooth floors, or even going over cord guards. The remote control lets you move the vacuum wherever you need spot cleaning, or if you prefer you can use the phone app to control it remotely, and you can use either to set cleaning schedules. I have already found no need to do anything but hit the auto clean button, since it obviously cleans at least as well as I do with a full-sized vacuum. The only shortcoming I can find is the size of the dirt cup. I wish Samsung would make a piggyback high capacity variant. At least that way it wouldn't appear to pick up as much as it actually does and make me feel better about the cleanliness of my carpet and flooring prior to vacuuming. I still cannot get over the hour plus of independent run time. If this continues to perform as well as it does, which I do not doubt based on the number of Samsung products I own, and my familiarity with the brand’s reputation for quality products, it will be well worth the money.

We used the POWERbot R7070 for are hardwood floors, and its works better than are Dyson, the is so much it picks up, its sometimes unbelievable the things you you see when you clean it. The best part it maps the room so there is no need to sit in watch it. Now would I use this for carpet, the answer I'd m is somewhat complicated, thick carpet that's in our rooms it seems to struggle, but on the rugs it does fantastic work. As this is our first robot vacuum we love it, yes it has its ups and downs, but there is more positive than negative. If it heike tomorrow we would buy another one. In closing the 7070 is a great vacuum, it could use some updates, but I'm sure Samsung is working on them already. Would I recommend this to friend's and dad's family, yes I would

I like that this robotic vacuum is actually a vacuum and not just a sweeper. It seems to be very powerful and picking up all the pet hair we have in our house from a beagle dog and a cat we own. Though it seems to struggle cleaning along the wall and especially corners thus the 4 stars. The garbage can is very easy to empty and clean.

I had great hopes for this robo-vacuum, it is a pretty expensive Samsung product after all. First of all, setting up the vacuum with the Samsung app was a pain. It literally took me three days until the app and the vacuum managed to connect. And once it connect, the app is pretty useless. The vacuum is supposed to draw a floorplan of your home, and then you are supposed to be able to tell it where to clean. Well, not on my app (Samsung Smart Home, which is the only app it connects to). Nevertheless, the real problems began right away, as the vacuum has still not managed to complete a cleaning cycle and get back to its base. The stupid machine gets stuck EVERYWHERE. High pile carpet? STUCK. Between toilet and vanity? STUCK. Against a chair? STUCK. In the middle of a hallway, at least a foot away from anything? STUCK! I cannot really attest how well it cleans, as it NEVER cleaned for more than 10 minutes before getting stuck. Stay away from this product!

I've avoided getting a robot vacuum until now because I was worried the same old problems still existed...they get stuck on everything and shut down until you can free them...they don't actually pick up the finer stuff like dog hair...they ram into everything and can ding your furniture up...etc. That hasn't been my experience with the Samsung R7070 Powerbot, though. I find the amount of material it picks up to be incredible, despite the different carpet pile and tile in my upstairs area where I run the vacuum. It gets the dog hairs, and superfine dust, as well as my longer hairs. As long as I do preliminary work to get cords off the floor, it never has any issues getting stuck, even in tight corners. The set-up is simple if you don't connect to the app-it runs right out of the box with either the remote or the buttons on the vacuum. Connecting to the app is a multi-step process, but worth it to have the records on your phone. Overall, I'm loving the device and it is working fabulously for me.
