Life Changer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had a brand name vacuum for our carpeted rooms, one that was quite expensive. I couldn't help but notice it really wasn't effective at picking up the pet hair in a home with five cats, two dogs, in addition to the disasters left behind by two kids. When I got a chance to purchase the Samsung Powerbot, I decided to give it a try. I vacuumed with the old vacuum while it charged, and on its first run, we watched excitedly as it learned. Wow, just wow. The cleaning power, the maneuverability, the scheduling feature. It really is a life changing product and I highly recommend it!

Better than the leading robot vacuum manufacturer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used these types of robot vacuums for approximately 15 years. First let me say, this machine is quieter than most. It has three power settings. There is a low setting, which drains the battery the slowest, but may not pick up all it should. There is "ultra", which picks up everything, but runs down the battery the fastest, and then "normal", which seems to be a good balance of the two. The higher the setting, the more noise the machine produces. However, even on the highest setting, the Powerbot generates less noise than similar machines produced by other manufacturers. The dirt/dust/hair bin is located on the top of the unit. Just press a button, and it pops up. From here, you simply pick up the bin, take it to the trash, and pull the filter out to dump the contents. Then, place the bin back in the machine, press down until it clicks, and done. Other manufacturers locate the bins on the back of their units, which in my opinion, makes it more difficult to empty without picking up the entire unit. It is quite obvious that The Powerbot moves with purpose. Units manufactured by other companies tend to move/turn at random, until crashing into an object, before turning and moving forward again. This machine clearly "sees" what is ahead of it, and avoids objects (mostly). The only exception to this are chair legs. Sometimes the machine will avoid, but not always. The Powerbot clearly makes an effort to cover every square inch of flooring, and does not simply drive around and turn randomly. The only issue I have seen is that while moving through a hallway, let's say 4 ft by 20 feet, rather than moving through the hall the long way, and maybe only having to turn around 3 or 4 times, it moves through the short way. For instance, it seems to prefer to clean in 4 foot strips, rather than 20 foot strips. This requires the machine to move slower, back up and turn more often, and take more battery power. I suspect the purpose for this is so the cleaning done along the walls is more thorough. If the battery runs out before cleaning is complete, the machine will cease vacuuming functions to conserve power, and move around until it finds the charging base. Once recharged, the unit will start on its own and finish the job. No issues with stairs at all. The unit cleans right up to the edge, and has never come close to going over. Very happy with this purchase. I look forward to seeing how it this little machine holds up over the years.

Not perfect but very nice to have
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Life is busy and this helps to simplify and improve daily life. Assembly and setup was straight forward, connecting to our network and phone was quick and simple too. It is much quieter than expected and does a good job picking up most items. It is able to transition from carpet, to hardwood and even over a small threshold (dividing rooms) with ease. What I like: Simple Quiet Easy to hide Great for daily "maintenance" cleaning Automatic/requires minimal interaction What could improve: Not the best for "deep" cleaning It would be nice to edit "maps" on the computer/phone to help guide where it goes/learns Would be great if it could climb stairs! :) I would recommend this to someone wanting a device that can keep up with daily traffic, for each floor (it doesnt climb stairs) and enjoys technology, it is fun to watch!

AMAZING!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the iRobot Roomba in 2007 so I have always been a fan of a robot vacuum rather than a regular vacuum. I bought the Samsung POWERbot R7070 Pet Robot Vacuum as its replacement. I had cleaned my house 2 days before receiving it in the mail but thought, "why not try it out anyways", so I did just that. WOW! That's basically all I could say after I used the Samsung POWERbot R7070 for the first time. I am very meticulous when I clean so I thought the house was spotless, well, little did I know how much hair, dust and dirt had accumulated in just 2 days! The suction power on this robot is incredible and the "Edge Clean Master" is a real thing, it worked miracles on all the corners of the house. The smart technology is very advanced, not only am I able to command it from the app, but it barely rams into anything. It was able to go under and around all my furniture, unlike with the Roomba where it would either bump all my furniture around as it tried to clean or get stuck and beep until I adjusted it. Another huge "plus" with the Samsung POWERbot R7070 is that it cleans without an issue. It goes over my rugs, which are a bit raised, and sucks everything out! And, it is not loud, in comparison to a regular vacuum or the Roomba. I can actually watch TV while it is cleaning, in comparison, with the roomba, I would have to clean a separate room of the house if I wanted to watch TV because it was so loud. One final point I want to make, is that this will turn any "non believer" into a believer. My husband thought the roomba did a good job but was not convinced it picked up all the dirt, dust and hair from under the furniture or in the nooks and crannies of the house, like those pesky corners between the door and the wall or between the wall and the kitchen cabinets. But the moment we used the POWERbot for the first time and he opened up and saw all the dust and hair it collected he was a believer! Overall, I am happy I made the switch to the Samsung POWERbot and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to make their lives 100000000% easier.

Beyond expectations
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I knew this was going to be a great product right from the get go. The packing was even way over engineered! The powerbot comes with clear instructions and is quick and easy to set up. It takes less than an hour to fully charge the device and then you are ready to start seeing what all the fuss is about. We sweep and vacuum on a regular basis and I was worried that the powerbot wouldn't be able to replace my regular routine. On its first pass it seemed to be learning as it moved around the room as if it was nervous. Once it had a general idea it made a second pass and it was quite efficient. It handles hardwood floors and our large area rugs with ease. It has a bit of a hard time with lightweight rugs but eventually figures out it needs a running start. Be prepared to empty the bin several times as this will find ever spec of dust and dirt your traditional methods miss. Even on the quiet setting! It also has a really nice feature that sweeps hair and sting to the edges of the roller so they don't get stuck. It will also send you a notification if it does become clogged or trapped. As for the "smart" aspect, it was easy enough to pair to my Samsung SmartThings hub and quick to set routines to start cleaning when our family leaves the house. It can also be paired with your favorite voice assistants for the time you get a phone call and need it to pause. Overall, this is a wonderful product that will definitely last. It doesn't bounce around the house turning after it hits an obstacle but instead plans to avoid them. It even plays well with the dogs!

Such a great time saver
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the POWERbot R7070 about 3 weeks ago, it was easy to set up and now vacuums my house daily. It has saved me at least 2 to 3 hours a week. on keeping my floors clean, I have 5 dogs in my house so vacuuming the house daily is a must. One of the best feelings in the world is after a long busy day is coming home to clean floors

Better than some other brands
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Backstory: Owner of two large dogs (who shed a lot) and a toddler. Have owned/used a major name brand robot vacuum and an off brand robot vacuum recently . I have had the POWERbot since 5 Oct. At first I was a little intimidated by the storage mechanism and how to empty it, although it has proved very easy after the first use. The dirt/debris storage container is much larger and holds much more between emptying than I have experienced with the two other brands. LOVE the reusable filters! There are also different modes you can put it in. If you just have a quick job needing to be done you can put it on quiet mode, etc. The area of coverage before needing to be emptied is much larger than I have experienced with other brands. The only con that I can say about it is it does not have those spinning pieces to grab any dust or hair under things, but that has not been much of a problem for me. All in all, I recommend this product and love how it has kept up with my furry, messy life.

Novelty Vaccuum, Does not clean well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a single story home with wood floors. I've set up a weekly schedule to have the vaccuum run while I'm at work 2 times a week. I've run it about 60 times so far and it has yet to fully clean the house. When it finishes it's cleaning cycles it usually only covers about 25% of the open floors. About 50% of the time it gets stuck in the fireplace or on the fringe of our rugs. If you watch it clean, it just gets random patches of floor before moving to the next room. To get the best results I need to fold over the edges of all my large rugs, pull up all the bathroom mats and stack all the chairs in the house on the tables, This takes about the same amount of time that it would take me to vaccuum the whole houes the traditional way. I love the idea ond novelty of a robot vaccuum but it's just not that practical as a replacement to a standard vaccuum. If I were able to return this I would do so in a heartbeat and trade it in for a nice upright vaccuum.

Far surpassed Expectations
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was able to test this product as The Insiders program. Coming from using a high end traditional upright vacuum I was very skeptical of the Robot Vacs. I decided to give it a shot though and was quite impressed. I first used it immediately after using my current upright and the amount of dust and fuzz it collected was astonishing. It hit areas that I hadn't touched in months too. The noise is typical of any vacuum I suppose with an option of quiet mode for lighter suction. Design is sleek and simple. Set up was relatively easy with my only complaint being they don't tell you about the "cliff detection". The instructions make it seem like you need to place a magstrip on every ledge or stairs it may come to when in fact it has sensors for this as it reaches an overhang or stairs. Easy to clean and empty the reservoir. Love to just start it and leave...or just sit and watch in wonder. ;)

Constant errors
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This could really be the vacuum of the future if it actually worked. After the first few days of usage I would get a "bumper sensor error" after every few minutes of use. I would have to turn the vacuum off and back on to get it to run again. This has made the vacuum unusable. If the vacuum we're to actually work, the features it has are very robust. The vacuum will run for about 45 minutes which is enough to vacuum my living room, kitchen, and dining room. It comes with a remote to control it manually or it will automatically clean using a few presets that will map the rooms and clean. Watching it, the movement seems somewhat random but, my floors were generally clean. It also intigrates with the Samsung Smart Home app so you can control it while you are gone and set cleaning schedules. The coolest feature I found on this vacuum was the edge cleaner. It has a small wedge it uses up against the wall to pull all the dirt off the edge of the wall. Overall, if you can get it to work without getting multiple errors, this could be a cool product. But, until then, I would say pass on this one.

Not what I expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a nice looking unit, but looks don't out weigh cleaning ability. I had it for about 4 days and returned it because it seemed like it had navigation difficulties. One example was when I had it spot clean the small bedroom where it's charger is and I then told it to return to base. It actually left the room and went all the way to the kitchen, where it kept banging into the garbage bin. Clearly it was lost. That afternoon I returned it and bought the newer model of the brand I had previous and to my surprise when I ran it I was shocked at how much cat hair it had picked up, it was so NEATO. Clearly the Samsung was incapable of adequate cleaning even at 40X the suck power! I love my Samsung TV, Galaxy S9 phone, smart watch, and tablet, but I can't endorse their vacuums.

Could be great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only a tiny blurb on page 13 of the manual lets you know that the vac must be within 16.4 feet lineally in any direction of the charger to be able to "find" its way back to the charger by itself. Also, "mapping" is not what you may think, it does not produce a map of what it has cleaned. It does work good on multi floors and picked up a whole lot of dust and dog hair. Could be great!

Owned for 1 year
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the first one a year ago. I have had to warranty it out 4 times because it kept breaking. Its a great product when it works The app is horrible....it only works when I am on cellular. Will not work when I on wifi. Samsung even came out with a new app from the first time I got it to now. Was excited for a new app...but it was junk too. Like all my samsung products....its junk.

Not great for small home with a lot furniture.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was not thrilled with this product. It was very inconvenient to use. I spent more time watching where it was going and I could have vacuumed with my shark and did my whole house in what it took for the powerboat to do half of my living room. These was even after 3 runs of the machine, not very efficient. You have to empty the container to many times. Very disappointed!
