It does its job every day , Dont expect it like a regular manual Vacuum cleaner.

This robotic vacuum has definitely made steps towards making my life easier... with a few exceptions. The initial setup is relatively easy, especially if you dont care to use some of the more advanced features (such as the Samsung Smart Home app). It's literally plug-and-play to get it to start it's first time... Plug it in, let it charge and hit play on the remote. That said, there's a few things to keep in mind. First, when positioning the dock, be sure it's someplace fairly centrally located, as when the vacuum is spending its time trying to get back to it, if it cannot see the IR from the dock, it spends a great deal of time bouncing off of walls until it does locate it. Also, be sure the floors are relatively uncluttered or it will hang itself up on things if it can drive up on to them. I'd also recommend doing a good vacuuming with a full size vacuum before configuring this to 'set it and forget it' as the brush gets filled with hair fairly easily and the capture unit inside is relatively small. If you're looking to use the Samsung Smart Home app, dont bother. It's completely incompatible with Android nougat (7.x) making it unable to locate your wifi network in your house. If you are able to get it to connect using an older mobile platform (I used an IOS device) it still doesn't seem to work as expected. Configuring it with an IOS 10 device I was able to finish the setup, but as soon as it finished, it claimed it was disconnected from the AP and I could not change that even going through setup again... but strangely enough it would still send me messages that it got hooked on something so I could go find it. As far as how well it vacuums, it seems to do a pretty good job, and being that it would go about its business on a schedule, it should be easy to keep up with regular everyday household dust. I would recommend this to others, but that recommendation would be more whole-hearted if the app was functional.

This thing has good suction, my floor is hardwood and I have a carpet in one room; this thing has no issues navigating from one to other. It finds it way easily and when required goes to the charger on its own. We have a pet at home so a Robo vacuum is god send. Also I do not think you need more HP of the higher model if your house is all hardwood. One big short coming in detecting stuff is that it cannot neatly detect things like speaker stand where the base is an inch above ground and is standing on spikes; nor does it detects the legs of our bed most of the time; the bigger issue due to this is that it keeps banging it self against stuff ad gets scratched in two days of use looking really ugly. I hope Samsung will do something about it in future firmware updates. As otherwise this is gonna look like a scrap piece in few months. This thing cleans edges; can detect walls and goes slowly towards them; if it finds a small object it tries to push it off if it cannot (say it’s a chair); it will try to work around it. Which is very nice. Connecting it to app was smooth except you may have to use remote to switch it on if you cannot see AP on the device. It did get stuck on one of the slanting leg of our TV unit; and it sent us a message about that. Disconnect power cord it sends us a message as well; pretty neat. I could not find a way to add my house map to it using the app; perhaps it does not support it? If that is important to you check with Samsung. The manual talks about tape which we can put it so that it will not go beyond that; this model does not come with any of that stuff. It could have been good as we do not want it to go to our dining area. Overall, I am happy with this device cleaning; it would be great to get ability to define house map for this and a firmware update which can stop it from banging against stuff which is a little off its path.

The samsung app isnt very helpful and the room sensing could be better. Doesn't work well on carpet. On the kitchen tile it worked well... if it could ever get there. I do not suggest this product if you have an open concept home as it'll just keep doing laps in a single corner.

It saved me for having to vacuum a large home.Great technology

with an invalid husband and a full-time job, i thought a robot vacuum would be handy to keep the floors clean on a daily basis while i was at work and he napped. however, i have been unable to get the phone app to work for scheduling daily cleanings. although i have read that this robot does not memorize the floor pattern, it seems to be stuck in a set pattern, and will not move from one room into another unless it is picked up and set down again. it cleans the tile floor in the kitchen well, but does not do a very good job on the carpeting in the living room. the manual that came with it is useless. i will be returning this item.

good mid level vacuum for small to medium area. battery dies quickly

I bought two of these for Christmas Gifts Nov 22. Not thinking of the return policy it was two late to return to Best Buy since they where purchased over 30 days ago. Our Daughters is fine but not ours. Hopefully Samsung can fix it or replace it.

The machine never "learned" the house layout. It always had a very haphazard cleaning path, with plenty of missed spots. Even so, it got the job done reasonably well. Occasionally we would just sweep out the problem areas, and the house stayed pretty clean. Unfortunately, there were constant syncing issues with the app, and after a year the docking station stopped working. Customer support was a hassle and the new dock they gave us only lasted a month. After seeing how consistent my friends Roomba is I'll probably try that next time.

Samsung Robot is ok. Compared to Roomba its not that good.

It's ok and does the job. nothing great about this.
