For the most part this Galaxy Watch 5 looks just like the last gen Galaxy Watch 4 but the back glass protrudes a bit more. I've read that this is to help the sensors on the watch. The watch comes in two sizes but I opted for the larger 44mm size and it fits my wrist and looks really good. I personally prefer a round watch to a square watch. Overall its pretty slim and light which is a must for me. It does have a bezel but if you use a black background watch face you don't notice it. The band so far has been pretty comfortable and I've had no issues with it. Its replaceable so if you want a different one you can easily replace it with something else. We'll see how well it holds up with daily use. I'm still getting use to the Samsung Wear companion app. It look little bit to get it synced to my Android phone. I had to install the Wear app and then another Galaxy watch 5 plugin app on top of that to get it connected to my phone. Not sure why they don't just put that all into one app? Once connected I was able to change some settings and customize the watch the way I wanted it from my phone which is easier than doing it on the watch. At the time of release the watch runs Wear OS 3.5 and this is easily the smoothest smartwatch I've ever owned. I notice no lag navigating around the watch and opening apps. The built in watch faces are really nice and very customizable. And if you don't like them there are literally thousands in the play store. Having date, time, weather, steps, and heart bpm and so on one screen is super convenient. Also if you want you can replace some of the Samsung apps with Googles apps. For example Bixby with Google Assistant, Samsung Pay with Google Wallet, Samsung keyboard with Google Keyboard. Love the built in Samsung fitness app! I admit I was a little skeptical coming from Google Fit but now that I've used it I really like it. They make it so easy to use and review the stats once your done with the activity. It comes preloaded with a lot of activities hiking, walking, running, biking, swimming, etc. It also has a auto detect and auto pause feature that actually works and it finds GPS instantly. I got the LTE version so I can have connectivity even without my phone. This allows me to either share my number with the watch or have a separate line of service on it. They also have the non-LTE bluetooth version. Either way they all support bluetooth and wifi no matter the size or model. As for battery life I am able to get 2 days out of it if I don't do any type of fitness related workouts that use GPS. If I do then its only a one day watch so keep that in mind. Especially if you are using the sleep features. I wish it had better battery life but thats pretty typical of most smart watches so its expected. For me this watch checks all the boxes. I've used quite a few smart watches in the past and this is hands down the best smartwatch I've ever owned!

Very happy with the watch, great style features, my only complaint is the battery i feel with the technology out there it should make it more then 8 hours before it needs a charge

Favorite smartwatch. Had the 4 and now 5. Battery not as good as others brands but only have to charge 1 time a day.

Bought fir Christmas gift for grandson. He was thrilled to receive. Says it works great. Loves all the features.

It decides when it wants to receive messages, notifications and emails. All notification settings are on. It is always random when my watch works.

This is a beautiful watch. Love that I dont have to take my phone with me to receive calls and text.

the battery is disgusting wont even last a whole day even with the watch gimped samsung is horrible when it comes to their battery

I'd highly recommend this watch. I used it for a full day and a half in NYC with maps running and didnt need to charge it. It also doesnt read glucose and never said it does because its a watch. It was no version ofnit has ever been marketed to do so. Please ignore one star reviews saying so.
