Love the size, the white color, the ability to have multiple pages open. But it is expensive.

This thing is great! I love the size: it's bigger than the iPad mini, but not as big as a regular iPad. I have a medium sized purse and it fits right in with no problems. The screen is beautiful. Each time I turn it on, I marvel at how clear it is. There are so many features that I discover a new one daily. I love the SNote pen and the fun things that go along with that, too. I would highly recommend this product!

I purchased this note about 3 weeks ago and have enjoyed using it ever since. It seems to be well built easy to use the screen quality is superior and I also love the HDMI output. If you are looking for a well built tablet I would recommend the galaxy 8. the only drawback I can find so far with this tablet is it has no flash for the camera or at least not one I can find.

Great tablet, also had the surface and the note tab 10 but the 8 just felt most comfortable to use. Cool apps, and when you really learn to use the s pen to its full capabilities, it gets cooler and cooler. Owning one makes me want to own the phone version. Best if you have access to a hotspot or constant Wi-Fi connection.

I had one of the original Apple iPads which was really great. This Galaxy Note 8 does just so much more. Photos and Skype to name a couple. It's small in size by comparison but since I added a 64 mg card to it, it holds more than the Apple. It has a good screen and many more useful features. My only real problem is there is no software for the Mac. Yes I can use Kies or Dropbox to add music manually, and I can go to the Google cloud but I am not able to access or download music or anything else directly. It would be great with this software.

Easy to use tablet and so-so as a remote for TV. Not as easy as using a Harmony that is always just sitting there. It does have the capability though and for quick adjustments it is convenient. Can't beat the price for a Wacom Digitizer in the unit itself. It recognizes handwriting very well and you can literally cut and paste pretty much anything on the screen.

Great overall tablet. Would recommend this tablet to friends. Great size easy to use.

This thing packs a huge punch for productivity as well as ease of use. I'm so impressed with the clarity and deep colors that this tablet has. It's fast and incredible in a small package. Perfect for the person on the go. I'd recommend this to anyone. The processor is incredibly fast and I've had zero problems with it.

Purchased in Feb 14 to replace an 18 month old Nexus 7. Only reason for replacement was to upgrade (gave the Nexus to our daughter which she is still using). After 3 months (in a case) my wife took the note out of her purse and noticed a thumb size black spot n the screen. Within a day it had grown to a 2 " wide black line across the entire width of the screen. I uploaded the issue on Samsung's web site #with images# and received a call #which I missed# the next day. I returned the call #to the number that was left#and got a machine so I left a message. After 2 days of no return call I called Samsung's 800 number and spoke to a nice lady who gave me the return info. She also stressed that I should have the piece "professionally" packaged by UPS to ensure no shipping damage #which I did#. She was very understanding and led me to believe that my issue would be warranted. After 5 business days the tablet was received at the service center and on the sixth day I received a call #which I missed# and had a garbled barely legible message stating that the issue with my tablet would not be covered due to customer damage. Now the fun begins, I call the number back #2 minutes after the missed call# and get and all circuits busy signal on their end, I call back 10 minutes later and got a machine on which I leave a message and I call back again one hour later and leave another message. I then call Samsung's 800 number and am given to their escalated service department and speak to a very apologetic woman who merely reads me the report. I cannot understand how a tablet can have internal damage without a blemish on the outside. She continually tells me she is not a tech, but they are standing behind what their servicer reports. I request a photo showing any kind of external damage that would result in an internal screen error and am told the servicer is closed and I need to call them back the next day. Long story short, I convinced the lady to email my request to the service center and ended the 1 1/2 hour conversation. The next day at around 11:00 I call the servicer and again get a machine and leave a message, I repeat this process 2 more times during the day and that evening when I had not received the images or a return call I called Samsung and was told that the images had not been uploaded and was given another number for the servicer. When I called them I was told they were uploaded and I could log on to the service site and view them. Needless to say there were no pictures so back I go to Samsung. On this call I am connected to a woman who again apologizes an awful lot, but does nothing, in fact she tells me that yes the images were uploaded, but they were loaded to the wrong account and are proprietary between them and the service center and I cannot see them. All she wanted to do was set up a UPS claim. When I request to speak to a supervisor I was told there are none available and I asked to wait. After one hour and twenty minutes of holding a supervisor comes on the line and we spend twenty minutes going round and round with him telling me the same proprietary story I just heard #after his department made the original request for me#. He continually states that Samsung WILL NOT REVERSE the service centers decision #when I never one requested this, all I requested was to see an image showing some kind of external damage that could lead to the issue I was having#. He finally put me on hold and spoke to someone at the Service center #this was over an hour later than the previous night when they were "closed"# and requested I be sent an image of the external damage. The next day I did receive an image and it was basically an exact blurry duplicate of the original image I sent with the service request. No sign of external damage, no bump, no crack, no bruise. Later that same day the supervisor called me to inform me the same thing he had stated numerous time the evening before " SAMSUNG WILL NOT REVERSE THE DECISION OF THE SERVICE COMPANY", like I didn't see that coming. This was undoubtedly the absolute worst customer service I have ever received in my entire life. Samsung and their service center have no concern for their customers and apparently believe that what ever they say goes and have no burden of proof on their end. THIS WAS THE FIRST SAMSUNG PRODUCT I HAD PURCHASED AND WILL DEFENITLY BE THE LAST!!!!!

I like the note 8 because it is smaller and faster then the average tablet out there.

I bought this as a gift for a family member. Really easy to set up. Pretty good screen quality and camera as well. Not bad for the price.

IS PERFECT FOR BUSINESS, EASY TO CARRY AND TAKE EVERYWHERE; GREAT FOR KILLING TIME WATCHING VIDEOS, OR PLAYING GAMES. AMAZING TECHNOLOGY.

The battery life, speed and performance of the tablet is excellent. Easy handling.

I love this tablet- it's the perfect screen size for e-reading and note taking. The screen is bright and crisp. Tons of options available for customizing. The pen is fairly accurate and also customizable. I would expect response time to be more fluid and quicker with a quad core processor but isn't a problem or noticeable usually. This is great for school use as an eReader for books etc. Con = there are very few accessories available for this tablet such as cases and keyboards (that aren't iPad rebranded ones).

Bought a cover for it and I love the way it goes to 'sleep' when I close it and wakes up when it's opened. Screen quality is great. It's like my Samsung phone so I could set it up easily and it was easy to figure out. It's cheaper than a new laptop.

Out of the box this product is great. I have a Samsung S3 phone and this tablet works exactly like my phone. The eight inch size is just right. I'm watching Netflix streaming service and the picture quality is great. I haven't tried the pen functions because that's not why I purchased the product.
