This is a great small tool for reading and writing. The stylus makes taking notes easy and the clarity for reading and watching videos and movies is superb.

if you need to take notes a lot and can't seem to write well with your finger. the stylus is worth the extra cash. it makes taking notes as easy as writing with pen and paper.

For the price it can't be beat. Samsung has always put out a good product, the quality of the device is sound and the battery life is excellent. The keyboard isn't that great, I tend to fat finger the buttons from time to time.

My first Tablet experience. Have a W7 Acer 11.5" running all Windows stuff, so was a bit apprehensive about a 'droid tablet. Still getting used to it, but does seem to feel right for the various "fun" things to do... not a workhorse like my Acer, but works for what it is supposed to do. Character recognition seems inconsistent [years ago was a Palm Pilot user with excellent recognition]. Have not used Polaris Office much as yet... may prove to be an acceptable lightweight alternative to MS Office. The in-store Samsung rep training availability is an outstanding touch of Customer Service from both Samsung and Best Buy!

Love this device. I use it for everyrhing. Great performance. I think the size is perfect. I would recommend it.

Having a great time exploring my new Tablet. It has many new features to master,like the S pen. There are many things that it can do, i am determined to learn them all.Screen is great for viewing movies or playing games.

All the features that make the Note 2 so useful and smooth, but with more space in which to use them. While the Note 2 allows scribbling some little diagrams, the Note 8 allows them to be larger and more sophisticated.

This product is good both for adults and children. It is also user friend.

My husband is having surgery at Mayo Clinic and I wanted a device that would keep me connected to family and friends through social networking, to allow access to banking and billing accounts, to connect to search engines such as goggle via wifi, to write and review notes, listen to music. .. all while away from home. I usually have a hard time learning how to use new technology but with a few practice sessions I knew just how to navigate and use the cool features. I prefer not to have a smart phone and this Samsung Galaxy Note 8 16GB is PERFECT!

Overall I love it,great for a multi tasker like myself. It does have a slot for a micro sd card which is awesome. Screen is just the right size.

I bought this for my wife who loves her kindle and samsung google chromebook. My wife is determined to switch to Galaxy Note but have the hardest time figuring out how to use it properly/to it's fullest capability, very frustrating. I am an iPad and iPhone user but my wife refuses to switch to the apple platform. We have been trying to learn to use it for over a month, so far we can only surf, send emails and load a few pictures in one album, can't figure out if we can even have more than one album. I tried to add her favorite news pages to the Flipboard but they keep disappearing. Rather clumsy to hold, very limited choice and availability of cover. So far my wife still prefer to use her google chromebook and I prefer my iPad.

This product does not have a USB port. It does not come with a case. My recommendations is to use your reward zone card and buy the 3 year extended warranty with this purchase. This way, you will get back 5 to 10 dollars back in 45 days. That money could be used as a discount towards the case for it. You know you will want to protect this unit, when your not using it. This product runs on the android operating system. Over all, if you are interested in this product, go to Best Buy store to try it out. It is like buying a car, you test it out before purchasing it!

The Galaxy Note 8.0 is a fun & helpful tool for anyone looking to digitize their life. From the time you turn it on, it guides you through the setup with no hiccups. The screen is brilliant and awe inspiring for those that are upgrading from the likes of the Kindle Fire. The S-pen takes some getting used to, but the built-in shortcuts are great!
