I needed a B&W printer that was economical for printing black and the Samsung - SL-M2825DW Wireless Black-and-White Printer was a great buy.

With a long history of battling stubborn, quirky printers, I have found this one to be a pleasant surprise.

I set one of these up for my parents up north at the cottage, they liked it so much they had me buy another and setup in town.

Thought Best Buys price for The Force Awakens was competitive and what sealed the the deal was the $5 Best Buy Rewards certificate!!

Wireless printing setup no problem. prints good quality.

Printer is larger than I anticipated compared to the last Samsung I purchased. Had some difficulty connecting it to the network but once it did, it worked great.

I purchased this printer to print client contracts. The prints are great. Make sure you use laser printer paper since the ink will smear on normal paper.

It works very well and I'm hoping that it will work after being dormant for awhile. Unlike ink jet printers.

Ink lasted a long time. Recommend for frequent B&W printing.

It required online factory chat to install. I have had to re-install it once already and have only had it a week.

I have no problems or iasuea since I got it. Works great.

I have owned this printer three months. I use it networked with Windows 10. This is not a bad printer. It works alright. But it is not great printer either. I think "average" is appropriate. HP support and the printer have some flaws. But not deal breakers. - The printer prints dark. Excellent for sharp text. But produces very dark images. Photos do not look good. - The driver has glitches. It works OK with standard office software like MS Word. But the driver fails to run fully with some standard Windows 10 apps, such as Mail and Photos. With some apps the driver interface does not open for preview and settings adjustment. The print output is default only. - Some of the printer features are silly and confusing, such as the ECO button on the device. - The published user's guide is unclear and out of date. Some printer software referenced is not available on HP's website. - HP's support is lacking. Samsung products seem like a step sister on the support site. The support resources are very limited. - Networking administration is via a web page based GUI. Which is the best method. But the GUI is not made very clear in the User's Guide. The networking GUI is called "SyncThru Web Service." - The printer does not have a reset button. If the networking settings or password are forgotten the reset procedure is complicated. The printer must be connected via USB, software installed on the PC, then reset deep within the software settings. This is also unclear in the User's Guide. - There are other minor flaws, such as a poorly designed paper tray. The included power and USB cords are extremely short. - I have not had any wireless networking issues. Other reviews mention WiFi problems. But I doubt the printer is at fault. Overall the printer seems to chug along. Text is sharp. Photos are poor. The driver needs updating. Tech support is poor. The model was released four years ago. Therefore I doubt HP will produce more updates to the documentation or driver. I am disappointed with the product and HP. Not up to my expectations. But I have had bad experiences with most printers. This one does not seem worse than usual. Printers and support generally suck.

Nice compact laser printer that is not too noisy and with pretty good speed, but were's my WiFi? My wife with her MAC picked up the WiFi easily. I'm using Windows 10 on a ASUS laptop and I can't get the WiFi to connect with the printer. I have deleted and reloaded the software twice, I get no useful error messages, no guidance. This is definitely not plug and play easy. I talked with a guy at Best Buy for 10 minutes and he made suggestions but so far I have not solved the problem. We have many Samsung appliances and electronics in the house. They work great. But apparently Samsung has outsourced customer service for printers to HP. I tried Youtube and Google to look for someone else who has had this problem. No luck so far. This is not acceptable software setup design, and not acceptable consumer service. I can print by cable, but I bought a WiFi printer and it leaves me with no clues as to why it won't find the printer and connect.

Well after figuring out the wifi was turned of on the printer setup went smooth. Fast printer with great quality. Cloud print service couldn't be reached so couldn't complete and test that functionality. Regardless I would buy again.

Take it out of the box, tell it your network settings and PRINT! Wireless convenience along with fool proof setup is the answer to your printing dreams!! Very fast printing is a great bonus. All this for less than $100!! You have to get one.
