Watch Out if You're an Apple User

However, it does not integrate well with Apple products. I purchased multiple cameras intending to use them around my house. I was able to successfully connect and operate one camera, but despite numerous attempts I was unable to sync up the other two. I spent an hour on the phone with Samsung tech support and they freely admitted that because I use an Apple Airport router, their product does not operate smoothly due to some issues proprietary to Apple routers. I was unwilling to buy a new router to suit the cameras, so I returned them and went with another product.

Fine for watching all the time only

The camera boasts of being able to detect motion (which it does), and even send alerts to nofity you of this event (it does not). Apparently the camera sends emails via Google Events, which requires a plug-in. Since Google has stopped supporitng plug-ins, the user is SOL. So unless you plan on watching the camera screen continuously while you are away, its kinda pointless.

Good Baby Monitor not Security Camera

Although the packaging states clearly "No Monthly Fees" this is not true if you actually want to save video. The least they could do is allow you to record video locally but they purposely block the IP address of this camera so you have to go through their paid service. Video is good, but there are much better options out there if you don't want a locked down product.

CAN'T USE FUNCTIONS ON SMART THINGS APP
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For all the features advertised for the camera, only basic functions work with the Smart Things APP. Motion detection does not work except through an app specifically for the camera. You can't even schedule the motion detection on and off in the app for your phone. You have to go online to set a schedule. Home for the day? You have to log onto the website to turn it off or disable the device. Very clunky. The one thing you can do is buy an additional motion sensor, set it up by the camera, and have video record if the motion sensor is tripped.

Hugely disappointed

I invested in 3 of these cameras to cover the house interior while away. I,ve been able to get the instant alerts and image uploads to work, but never for the email alerts (and no, I dont have an issue with gmail 2-step authentication). But what really twisted my knobs: I checked the system as I was headed out the door for a 2 week trip (Oct 26 2016), and see a system message from Samsung- "Oh, we updated our server, please re-register all your now non-functioning cameras". ! I tried... no luck, and no time, plane to catch. And no way to do it remotely. This junk is going on ebay.

The support people, Suck

It's been 4 days now and my camera won't function in a correct manner and it's not the fault of a defect in my camera.

No live Surveillance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this camera to monitor elderly father with a Samsung tablet and Galaxy phone for viewing and it worked well for 8 months, but now it "times out" after about 5 minutes and you have to continually log back in over and over and over endlessly. Called tech support and they say that is what it is supposed to do even though it does not state this anywhere and hasn't done this before today. VERY disappointed in Samsung!
