if you have a smarthings hub this is a great addition for guests.

As a parent, this makes me feel so much better knowing when my kids get home after school. Love the smart things eco system as a whole. Set as one of our triggers. So as boys get home, the house alerts us, calls us, and performs different functions for each boy.

It worked fine for the first week. After that, whenever the device is on the network, it ping pongs back and forth between home and away every few minutes. The battery has now died after about three weeks because of this. I would return it if I was still able to.

This works awesome for coming and going on my smart things network.

If using your smart phone it acts the same as if not better than these. You don't need it and more for kids for arrival

Stopped working shortly after I got it (few months). I did not have my receipt. Ended up throwing it away.

Works good when it stays connected. Already have had to re-pair it to the Hub three times.

There are better and cheaper products out there for this.

I easily paired them with my Smartthings hub and they worked well at notifying the system when we came and went. I will say that I learned after buying them that you can use your cell phone as an arrival sensor, so we really didn't need these sensors.

We Love the SmartThings products for our Samsung hub. The arrival sensors allow you to automatically arm/disarm your smarthings system and control lights, etc just by leaving/arriving to your office or home...

I love the idea of a keychain sized device that can tell if you are home or not. In practice it would often disconnect and say I was away when I wasn't. Not reliable for my house. I have a lot of gadgets and the device can't compete with all the wifi gear. It may work better in homes with more complete wifi coverage and less devices on the network.

I bought this thinking it would respond better than just using my cellphone as a location device. The connection is very flaky so it often reports "Away" when I am home. This cause any automation I have set up for "Away" to trigger even when I'm home. Because it checks the location every 5 min, If it reports "Away" it wont check again until after that time. Because of this delay, if you have it set to turn on lights when you return, there is a good chance you will be home for 4 min before it even knows your back. I have found them to be somewhat useless. In the short time I have had them, I have had to reset the devices more than once just to get it to respond. I would suggest not buying this. I feel like it was a waste of money.

Bought this for use by person that takes care of our pets when we are on vacation. Helps to determine if a security alert is due to a burglar, or just our friend taking care of our cats. Adds a lot of piece of mind to our security system.

My husband and I have these on our Keychain so that when we get near home, after dusk our outside lights come on allowing us to easily walk into the house.

We will see what this device can do... has lots of promise

Great idea but set-up with Smart Things is nearly impossible.

Concept is great however does not consistently work with smart things.

I love the idea of the sensor, it works most of the time but is not very reliable. It can go for days without reading at all and takes a while to trigger. I thought I would be able to put one in my car to sense arrival and then open the garage door, but that did not work.

I have had my smarthings arrival sensor for 2 months now. First let me just say I am a complete fan of all things samsung! This item has most definately worked as expected
