This motion sensor does a great job at controlling lights with the smartthings hub. 1 thing that would have made this even better is if they would have included an angled mounting bracket, I custom made one so it would angle slightly down when mounted up high (over a door).

Once in a while it fails. It also seems to track motion differently each time. I have one at the bottom of my stairs and it triggers at different points each time I go downstairs.

I love Smartthings, but the range on these sensors are not as optimal as I would want it. I have a couple sensors to do the job.

This was a great product. There is the common issue of these systems not working together with other systems such as Apple products. A little frustrating, but it works.

Easy setup and works perfectly! I use it to trigger house lights when I walk out of my bedroom between 5 and 5:30 am, my normal time to get up for work. I can walk down my hallway, through my living room and to the kitchen to make coffee with the house lit up nicely. Love it.

OK for an area with nothing moving around normally. Not good if you have any pets. Also seems to be prone to false alarms.

Hassle free buying experience from bestbuy. I returned the sensor because size was slightly bigger than my other motion sensors. I prefer small unobstrusive sensors.

Have bought 3 and work perfectly. Have a aeon multi sensor which is more expensive but less reliable and battery consumption triple than the Samsung

have a lot of disconnect and false alarms. i have two bosch detectors that was half the price that are more reliable

We purchased this motion sensor and linked it with our home security system It does what it was design to do. Works well with Smart thing app.

I use the Smart things motion and water leak sensors in combination with Arlo security cameras and Ring doorbell. The system is completely wireless and provides coverage in every room. If multiple devices are triggered, a break-in is certain.

I would not recommend this motion sensor since constantly disconnects from hub and it drains battery very fast.

Setup is easy. Works well when working. Randomly stops at times requiring you to setup again or reset.

I like these ST motion sensors because of how they look on the walls. Go line of detection, and they don't look like the transparent 3rd generation motion sensors which tend to creep out my visitors as they think they are cameras not motion sensors.

I have had the sensor for a couple months now and waited to write the review until now. I had heard of people having numerous false alarms and issue with SmartThings in general, but I have been trouble free. Battery life has been excellent as well.

It doesn't work, although it's connected to the hub. It always says on the app it's inactive.

I'm very happy with this product. I get things from Best Buy all the time. I prefer to buy things from Best Buy versus Samsung Direct. Samsung is not understanding it does not have good customer service. Best Buy has great customer service.

Old SmartThings motion sensors abruptly died , had to buy this newer model to replace them. Works fine with the hub.

I used one of these in my detached garage which has aluminum siding and the controller base in a house with plaster walls containing metal screen. This motion sensor is unaffected by any of it and works very well.
