Overall great motion sensor for smartthings. Only issue is it picks up pets. even cats. I bought it mainly as a temp sensor and it seems to work great for that, but I tried to use it for a motion sensor for security and the pets set it off every few minutes.

I like this motion sensor. It is sensitive to motion and it has temperature for whatever room its in. A great double check for your thermostat. I will get more.

This motion sensor is extremely helpful in detecting activity in our garage. My wife now knows when I get home and when the kids get home from school. At times, however, there were issues with the hub not reconnecting when the router reboots. A reboot of the hub fixes the connection. However, it would be better if it reconnects.

If you are looking for a fast and real easy way to add home automation then this is it. You need the Smartthings hub and from there just add any of their devices. Other brands can be linked fairly easily too. This motion sensor works quite well for my application. I have other building on my property and with simply placing a motion sensor in them lets me know of entry.

the smart things motion device is absolutely the easiest way to monitor your home office or anywhere. No wires just needing the Hub and an internet connection.

Not only does it detects motion, but it records the air temperature.

Just adding the motion sensor to the Smartthings hub as extra security within the house. Will explore smart actions with this item later.

I use this for a rgb smart bulb I have on my front porch. I paired with my smart things and have it turn on when walk by the front door. During the holidays I also have it turn my color bulbs the color of the holiday. Really cool

I use multiple of these in my house to control lights and track motion, and they work well. The batteries (CR2450) last a long time.

Easy to pair, easy to set up in smartthings, dependable

I had purchased this sensor to connect to the ADT SmartThings Hub for security purposed. Found out that this sensor will not trigger the siren in the ADT keypad, but it does connect to the hub and you can still use as a motion detector and get alerts to your phone. I do like how it also monitors the temperature of the area it is installed in.

Bought this along with my Smart Things Hub v2 and so far it works flawlessly. I use the motion sensor to turn on the kitchen lights every time I step into the kitchen after midnight. It is then setup to stop the motion sensor every day at 7 am. I also had it setup for security if I enable a routine. Overall, it works every time and had no problems of what so far.

The lag and responsiveness of this device would not make it a good implementation into a home security set up. This would only work well for automation processes. (Turning on a light when walking into a room)

The SmartThings motion sensor is not perfect but it has been working very well for me. There was an instance where it lost its connection to the smart hub, but I restarted the hub and has been working ever since.

Pairs up great with hub and other smartthings devices

Does detect motion, but it's about a second slow. For my purposes it isn't a big deal, but for some it may be annoying. I got it when it went on sale for about $9, so it's a much better value then.

I have had it for about 6 months. It has been doing its job well and consistently. Works well with Google mini and Alexa dot. I have a wide range if devices configured - door locks, bulbs, plugs and garage door opener. All working well. Plenty of smart devive choices available to hook up. Catch it on sale and save a few pennies.
