Killer sound!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is a monster, both in size and sound! Samsung packed a lot of power in this soundbar. Setup is really easy. I have a shelf just above the TV in my man cave and while it hogs most of the shelf it's got an attractive finish and matches well to my Samsung 55" 4K TV. There are mulitple ways to connect to the soundbar. - HDMI pass through in and out ports - Auxiliary jack - Digital optical - Wireless via Bluetooth or Wifi There is a LED display on the right side letting you know what the source is, volume level and bass level. There are 9 speakers in 3 channels without an external subwoofer. It has destortion reduction technology that fills the room with plenty of bass without the rattle and does it without the subwoofer. The remote is very simple following the lead of the Samsung smartTV remotes. A slim device that has a power button, settings button, source button, directional wheel with play/pause center button, surround button, sound mode button, smarte mode button and volumne and bass rocker switches. Very easy to use! Download the Samsung Multiroom app (either iOS or Android), bluetooth connect your smartphone and the soundbar becomes a media center allowing you to stream music from any streaming service that you have a subscription to or music on your smartphone. In the box along with the soundbar and remote is the power cord, an optical cable, wall mount brackets (drill template included), holder feet and a cable management clamp. Not that you need it but if you add the optional rear wireless speaker kit you can enhance the sound to be even more emersive. This is displacing a Bose Solo 5 as my preferred sound system in my man cave. I'm that impressed.

Very solid, great sounding sound bar!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this sound bar. The look is very sleek and will fit in perfectly in most home theater setups. I love the fact that is has the built in sub so I don't have to put another huge box in my living room and use up even more power. While it won't rattle the walls like a true sub will...it does provide very respectable bass from just a sound bar. I have noticed some people complain that it doesn't have enough bass..I am assuming they didn't adjust the bass level on their remote...cause when you crank the bass all the way up to 6...it thumps pretty good. I have a newer Samsung TV...so this works perfectly with it. I love the 4k passthrough as well as the ability to connect to streaming music services like Pandora or Spotify. It truly can be the media center for your family room whether you like to just watch TV, play some music, or have a home theater like experience watching the latest action thriller. This does a great job of filling up the whole room with sound...it almost sounds like you have speakers placed all over your room when you don't! Overall, its a great looking soundbar, very easy to set up, and has great sound through a TV or for playing music on. I am sure you won't be disappointed in this sound bar. I would definitely check it out if you are in the market for one!

Compact yet clear audio soundbar
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first Samsung soundbar. I have used Vizio soundbar before. This one is new and has more features and definitely feels like an upgrade for my Vizio one. I connected this to my LG TV that has Harman Kardon built-in speakers. Adding this soundbar does give a nice boost to my sound system. It has Bluetooth and 9 speakers to give you a clear and wide range sound. It is also multiroom compatible, although I couldn't test this. If you have a latest Samsung TV, the TV remote can be used to control this soundbar. I really like the 4K HDMI pass-through audio to connect with other devices like Xbox and Blu-ray players. You also have additional inputs to connect other devices. You can also stream the music from your smartphone using the Bluetooth feature. I used the traditional cable to connect to the TV. There is Bluetooth and Wi-Fi streaming of audio from TV which I haven't tested since I wasn't sure if my LG tv is compatible with it or not. Don't be fooled by its sleek design as the bar itseld is heavy and sturdy and comes with the wallmount brackets. This is ideal for apartments as well as for living rooms that are not humongous. There is no need for a subwoofer. This soundbar pretty much takes care of it. This has exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend it to anyone and you won't be disappointed in it, especially if you are into Samsung ecosystem.

The best there is
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upon opening the box, i was thrilled knowing that there wasnt going to be a seperate subwoofer id have to try to hide in my entertainment center. With the weight of the bar, i was afraid to mount it to the wall so instead, i have it sitting on top of the center. it was very easy to set up and the thing thats taking the most time iis figuring out what channel i want to watch

Terrific Sound Bar
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound, easy set up comes with the optical cord (not stated) great clear sound with good bass for not having a subwoofer. Perfect for some like me who lives in an apartment!! Setup took just a few minutes and was up and running. I love having the option to connect my iPhone to the sound bar and play music (app needed).

Better sound with simplistic design
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Samsung soundbar is exactly that.... it is a soundbar that produces clear full sound for your big screen. It is by no means a surround sound system without the added wireless speakers which are available separately which is why I like this soundbar. It does not have a separate subwoofer included as it has a small subwoofer built in. It does produce massive bass for those big action explosion scenes but it does get the job done to enjoy. The sound fills the entire room and there is no bad seat in the house like with the older models which have directional sound. This bar has some weight to it so consider that if you are going to mount it along with the tv. The volume has a dynamic range and high settings. If you do not want to fidget around with sound settings, just activate the smart sound function which is pretty awesome and adjusts to the show or movie you are watching to produce the best sound. Overall a great purchase for upgrading the tin sound from the factory tv speakers. The bonus is that you can add speakers to this soundbar to also upgrade to a surround sound system without breaking the bank.

Great Soundbar
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This stunning samsung sound bar was very easy to setup and works great with my samsung television. It has a few different ways to connect to your tv or other devices which is great, but I prefer to stick with the optical audio cable. It has a rich full range of sound, which is great for watching movies and playing games.

Crystal Clear Full HD Fidelity: Update Review
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Samsung MS 650 sound bar along with the 9000S surround sound wireless speakers. The combination produces outstanding full throated surround sound especially with true 5.1 Dolby source material like a Harry Potter movie. The sound bar alone has crystal clear sound with plenty of bass..But to really appreciate movies, sports events, concerts etc., having the surround sound speakers is strongly recommended. They turn 3.1 channel wall sound (however clear) into true 5.1 channel surround sound.. Highly recommended combination.

Flexible but ultimately a subpar bar
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't say I dislike this soundbar, but I was overall disappointed in it's performance-for-price. This is a very flexible soundbar and it integrates especially well with Samsung TVs, but even if you don't have have a Samsung TV this still works fine and accepts several standard audio sources. I ended up feeding mine primarily through SPDIF for TV audio, but you can also feed it over Bluetooth, WiFi, or an aux audio cable; all easily selectable from the source-select on the remote or side of the bar. Unfortunately, unless you're sitting almost literally right in front of it, the audio performance is pretty lackluster. It's clear and sounds nice overall, but despite the "built in subwoofer" it consistently failed to achieve satisfactory cinematic and musical depth. Example 1: While watching several select Star Wars films with the family, I was surprised at how thin explosions and roaring engines often sounded. Every now and then the bass made an acceptable-yet-all-too-brief appearance, but even at +6 bass on the soundbar the audio depth continually seemed suppressed just behind the rest of the soundscape, across the entire range of volume from min to max. Example 2: I like listening to radio in the morning while I make coffee and breakfast. I normally use a moderate 5"x5"x5" cube Bluetooth speaker for this but tried using this soundbar or it instead to compare the two. Same room, same music, same distance, same moderate volume -- the moderately sized single-speaker easily produced more audio depth and presence than this bar. Easily. On the low volume end I could feel and hear the punch of rhythm on my Bluetooth cube -- this bar produced a beautiful clear melody line but barely perceptible drums of the same music in the same environment at comparable volume. This bar does provide excellent spatial separation -- I very much liked how "wide and open" of a soundscape it produced. And it can get overall much louder than the smaller speaker I compared it to, but I was really surprised that this bar was so comparably tepid on depth of sound. I still like it, and I intend to keep it, but I'm holding out hope that an add-on subwoofer will be made available that will fill-in this surprisingly weak aspect of its performance. It is my understanding that just such a thing will be available later in 2017. I hope so. In the meantime, if you're already committed to a Samsung a/v ecosystem and/or you just want a simple soundbar setup to improve on basic TV speakers this one isn't too bad, but you can get more rounded sound performance from some other soundbars for the same money or even less. But if you are looking for a one-stop soundbar with satisfying audio punch for anything beyond very basic home theater this bar falls short of the bar.

Amazing audio with seamless use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing packs a huge punch. With nine speakers and a built-in subwoofer, this Samsung 3-Channel Hi-Res Soundbar is amazing when watching a movie or a TV show. And to my amusement, it gets better. Besides the usual methods of hooking up this Samsung Soundbar to a television, you also have the ability to connect it via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. So that means you can use your computer via Wi-Fi or any device that supports Bluetooth to play audio through this Samsung Soundbar. Setup is a breeze, just keep in mind that this device is somewhat long and will require extra room. This Soundbar comes with its own remote control to adjust some of the various functions such as Bass, Tremble, Source, etc. When using this Soundbar with your TV and the TV is also a Samsung one, you can use your Samsung TV remote to control the volume and other functions on the Soundbar. So it can seamlessly integrate with your home entertainment system and now you have one less remote control to worry about.

Really Good- No Need for Optional Surround Sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this MS 650 sound bar due to its built in subwoofer. Also purchased the optional 9000S surround sound speakers. The "system" produced very good ambient sound with clear sound moving around the room. However I kept wanting more bass and better clarity. Then I disconnected the surround sound speakers and voila: The 650 sound bar sounded cleaner, clearer, with more bass and excellent sound dispersion. I quickly realized that for me the lesser quality surround speakers were interfering and muddying the clarity and bass from the sound bar. So I returned the 9000S and saved $129.95. Still thinking about the soon to be released sub woofer but once again wonder about it overpowering the sound bar. In short.this is an excellent sound bar that will produce clear, full spectrum sound with reasonable bass.with excellent spatial sound characteristics.

Good Soundbar without extra sub
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This soundbar has many features to offer in such a relatively small package, Being that it does not include a subwoofer the bar makes up for MOST of it with built in one. With this being said I would say an extra dedicated sub would still outperform this all in one unit. This bar produces a nice rich and powerful sound with different modes to cycle through to changes the quality and quantity of the sound depending on what your are watching. Surround sound doesn't make a huge difference but is included non the less. Some of the other features include Wireless connectivity, Bluetooth, 4k HDMI pass through, Optical Digital Audio, etc. The fact you can use one universal remote also is such a great feature as well. I would highly recommend this soundbar for anyone looking for an all in one type unit as this gets the job done very nicely!

Whoa...it's loud!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never thought I would hear my son say - turn down the TV. This sound bar had increased the sound quality so much - it's like we are in the theater all the time! It definitely took some time to get hooked up. For some reason - I was not able to get it hooked up through the HDMI cable to my TCL Roku TV - but was eventually able to get it hooked up through the optic cable. I had never used an optic cable and learned the hard way that there are dust caps on the end that you have to remove before they will fit (I hope someone reads this and learns from my mistake). We have the sound bar placed right under our TV and it fills the entire room. You can truly hear things in movies that I never heard before. It really changes the viewing experience.

Great Soundbar
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a surround system that would fit in a limited space under the TV and provide equally good performance for both movies and music. Sound bars, by their very nature, have limitations when compared to larger discrete speakers & AV systems. I also had an older Samsung J550 series sound bar and wanted something that performed much better for movies and equally good with music. In my opinion the only thing that came close was Sonus, Bose, and Samsung's new MS-series. After listen, as best possible, at BestBuy, I opted for the Samsung MS-650 largely because of price, size, issues that I had with both Sonus and Bose, and near equal performance with the MS650. When listening at BestBuy try to determine what listening mode the bar is set for. I preferred the "Smart Mode" when watching movies and the "Music Mode" for music. I have now owned it for nearly two months and very pleased with its performance and value. While the low end could be better, I think it is as good if not better than either the Sonus or Bose without their sub. It does a nice job projecting a sound stage and clarity. If you watch a lot of high action movies with low...low end content you will want a sub, but most of my movie watching is not blowing things up so I find it very adequate, does a good job with music content and significantly better than my older Samsung sound bar. It's a great sound bar for the price and I saved more than $200 compared to the competition in this price range, and I still have the option to add a sub.

This Soundbar Is TERRIFIC!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned a Sony soundbar for the past six years. It was OK but my new Samsung soundbar is FANTASTIC! The set-up was easy and it comes with nine speakers that produce INCREDIBLE sound. I purchased this soundbar as an Open Box (Excellent Condition) Item from Best Buy on May 04, 2017. I paid ONLY $301.99 plus tax. Believe me, it was a steal. Just in case I needed it, I also purchased the extra 4-year Geek Squad Protection Plan. I would highly recommend the Open Box (Excellent Condition) Item as mine was just like new, plus I saved over $140 on my purchase. Since my soundbar has built-in WI-FI, I love playing my Pandora music from my Asus tablet through my soundbar because the sound is EXCELLENT! Also, anytime in the future I can add additional wireless surround speakers or a subwoofer to my soundbar to enhance the sound (even though I don't think I need them). My soundbar also has the HDMI-In and HDMI-Out (ARC) along with Digital Optical Audio, AUX Audio, and USB. It also comes with built-in Bluetooth and is TiVo friendly as I can control the volume and turn my soundbar on and off with my TiVo controller. In conclusion, I usually don't write reviews, but this Samsung soundbar has exceeded all my expectations. IF YOU DECIDE TO BUY THIS SOUNDBAR, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! THANK YOU. Desert Doug

Good Sound for Competitive Price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a 65 inch 4k TV and it amazes me that what is lacking on televisions of this size is quality sound. I wanted to get richer sound so decided to give the Samsung soundbar a try. Its compact but gives full sound and the subwoofer is built in so there is not an extra, bulky compoent to deal with. Its very easy to set up and connects to wifi for auto updates as well as the ability to connect to various music services. While there are more expensive sound systems giving a more theater like experience, I think this sound bar is well worth the $399 price point.

Blownaway!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the Samsung 2.1 HW-F450 for 3 years and this Hi-Res soundbar simply blows my old one away. At first I was a bit skeptical because the new Samsung soundbar doesn't come with a separate subwoofer, it is already built in. Man I was way wrong! The sound is crystal clear and the deep bass sounds are very rich with the built in subwoofer. I have this is soundbar paired with my tv that is in the family room and it is always a challenge to find a discrete place to hide the old subwoofer, but with the new soundbar that is no longer an issue. I look forward to many great years of great sound from this Samsung soundbar.

Excellent Sound Bar with internal Sub-Woofer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Samsung 3 Channel Hi-Res Soundbar with Built-in Subwoofer is an excellent choice for a soundbar without an external subwoofer. It was super easy to install, with several options of inputs. It also is wifi enabled so you can stream using the Samsung Multi-Room app, or wirelessly connect your samsung wireless enabled tv. This device is not only versatile with it's connections, it has a very rich sound with great quality reproduction of bass and treble while obtaining a balance throughout different volume points. It also has unique metallic finish, bringing a high quality look to a high quality unit.

Another great Samsung product
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I honestly never knew how bad the quality of the sound on my TV was until I received this sound bar! I have a Samsung TV and I'm a big supporter of their products. It enhances the sound so well that it makes you feel like the TV you spent all that money for could be so much better lol. The box it came in was heavy long and intimidating. But, the sound bar itself was very lightweight. Easy to install , great sound just wish the bass even on the max was better I expected more from that feature. You won't regret buying this!

Makes any TV sound better
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this to hang in my bedroom under the 50" Panasonic Plasma hanging on the wall. This would have been a nice addition to my 55" Samsung (2017 model) 4k in the family room as the control and integration work nicely, but I've already got a full 5.1 surround setup down there that blows the soundbar away, so to the bedroom this went. Overall, this is a fantastic unit as it greatly improves sound quality and range of the tiny speakers included inside TV's. Mounting on the wall is a simple enough process and the bar itself is great looking.
