Q: How long is this item? I need it to fit in a 35" wide space
A: The Bar is 42 inches Long, 3 1/8 inches high, 5 1/4 inches deep
A: The salesman at Best Buy said this model did and the model below it did not. I can tell you from fiddling with it for a while if I leave it on “smart” audio mode, dialogue is very clear. I was using Django unchained dinner table scene as reference. Sound was noticeably more focused on dialogue with it on “smart” mode
A: That was my concern also. It does sick out a bit but I mounted it it under a wall mounted TV so it looks fine.
A: Yes, the Samsung soundbar is compatible with VIzio Model M50-C1.
A: I tried to go the same way with MS650 + SWA-9000s + SWA-W700 but the rear channel is not giving real 5.1 surround effect. I tried to test with 5.1 test audio and rear speaker never worked with rear left and right sound test.
A: Yes the MS650 supports the addition of both the new wireless surround kit (SWA-9000S) and/or a dedicated wireless subwoofer in the Bass+ wireless subwoofer (may not be out yet but coming soon). Also just for awareness the MS750 will be coming out shortly and is identical to MS650 but with the addition of two speakers that face upwards from the soundbar toward the ceiling increasing the "height" of the sound which basically Ive understood to mean from your ears perspective the sound will appear to be coming from a larger source. Note that the ms750 however will be approx. $200-250 more. That said, the displays at bestbuy or anywhere really are rarely the best venue to show off soundbar features from the large room to the racks the soundbars are on etc. I'll say in my living room for now the built in sub is enough to connect me to the movies and provides those nice deep tones without distortion but if its room vibrating bass you are looking for, yes you will want a dedicated sub. Hope this helps.
Q: Can you add a subwoofer to this soundbar? How? thanks!
A: No and yes …. The sound bar has built in Subwoofers and Bluetooth but does not pair with a subwoofer. But If you use wired aux you can use a splitter and can connect both to the source. But it is the best sounding bar I ever had. I Purchased 2.
Q: can i add a subwoofer to my samsung HW-MS650/ZA soundbar
A: Yes, but it has to be a Samsung compatible one. Take a look at Samsung Bass+ Subwoofer model SWA-W700/ZA.
