I recommend this speaker if you are looking for a good center speaker. Also, this speaker can cover the full spectrum if you don't already have left and right speakers. I also use this speaker as my main speaker for my iPad and iPhone to blare music through the entire house. The only thing I would like to change about this speaker are the controls, it took me a whole day to figure out where the volume buttons were located, and there was no volume control on the remote.

This is the first sound bar I have ever used. I love good headphones but I never cared much about speakers for TV viewing and after this I don't think I can go back to TV speakers any more. You get more bass for those action movies and everything else just sounds better. The design of the sound bar is basic and does the job bit I don't like that they put the inputs on the bottom and since I have mine laying on a stand it is sitting atop the AC power plug.

The sound quality is very good for not having a dedicated subwoofer. Everything was clear and the lows were deep enough. It is very solidly built and looks simple. It is about the same width of my 49 inch TV. I do not have a TV with an Hdmi arc but the pass through worked as intended. The Bluetooth support is great to stream from my phone and the wifi was great for using my pc. I am very happy with all the features and plan on adding the wireless rear speakers in the future.

This sound bar replaced my $100 2 channel sound bar with no sub woofer. I am impressed with the sound quality. I definitely can hear the richness and depth of the audio but its not as much as I thought it would be. My friend has sound bar with wireless sub woofer ( around $200) and the quality of his sound bar was alot better. With his sound bar you can really feel the bass. I've had issues with this sound bar dropping audio on ARC mode. It could be TV ( VIZIO E55-XXX model) but i didn't have this problem with my old sound bar. After using the sound bar for 2 weeks i wouldn't recommend this to a friend. I stick with a sound bar and sub woofer combo

The Samsung HWMS650 I have just purchased is truly a MEGA disappointment. One of the previous commentators hit the nail right on the head with his review which puts the improvement to the sound quality down to what you watch on television. The very first thing to decide is how do you want to watch your television. Do you want your furniture to bounce up and down,your house to vibrate, your chest FEEL the vibrations -- well if you do, this soundbar will go PART way to satisfying this need. If on the other hand you are like most other TV viewers you also watch the news, watch documentaries or chat shows,.... in other words things other than block-buster movies you would go to the cinema to watch,.. then you are going to be mega disappointed. The sound from various ordinary programs (its the voices I'm talking about here) varies from pathetic to down right atrocious. At the very best speech sounds to be coming from someone inside a box (a bit like a Punch and Judy show where you can see the actors, but the voice reverberates as though the speaker is in some kind of box, which in this case he is of course). To be clear, I am not saying speech sounds detached from the speaker, what I am saying is the voice does not sound to be coming from the person in clear view, but rather from a person inside some sort of enclosure. The other problem is something I feel borders on deceit by both the makers and many of the "professional" reviewers. The supplied remote has 4 major operator buttons. "Settings" . "Surround". "Sound mode". "Smart mode". Lets start with the Sound Mode button. This allows for 5 different settings. Standard. Music. Clear Voice. Sports. Movie. Selecting the different modes does produce different effects which you may or may not like. However the makers would have you believe these settings are in addition to the settings provided by the other buttons. In other words you would expect (as I did) you could have Clear Voice with Surround Sound, or Sports mode with surround sound. etc etc. As soon as you select the Surround Mode however all the other setting are immediately cancelled. The Sound Mode button displays "Surround" and the other settings on the button are cancelled. The other MEGGA problem for me is the Clear Voice mode quite simply does not work, it is complete rubbish. Do not expect whispers to be enhanced to make them audible, or voices heard above background rumbles etc. It does not happen. On the "Settings" button you can access a very limited equaliser (about 6 channels I think). No doubt with a lot of fiddling here it may be possible to make the voice frequencies louder (but not necessarily clearer); I had however expected a £500 soundbar to be something better than an audio equaliser. Yet again, any operation of the equaliser immediately resets all other modes(in this case to "Standard") The only button to operate in a modestly effective way is the Smart Mode button which does change the settings to suit the content of what is being viewed, however whether the modified sounds are to you liking is entirely down to your personal preferences in life. So in addition to not providing the quality of sounds most people would want for everyday TV viewing the settings could all be provided by one button with the following functions:- Equaliser Standard Music Clear voice Sports Movie Surround Smart Activating the next setting automatically cancels the previous setting. No doubt this review will attract the attention of Samsung as some of the other posts have, however the standard cut and paste comments will be little more than a knee-jerk reaction. I have spent ages talking to Samsung on the telephone and using online chat and have checked to make sure the above modus operandi is correct and not down to a duff soundbar. It would seem the soundbar is simply a duff piece of equipment, which greatly saddens me because I have spent ages researching the views of so called professional reviews, non of which highlight the above problems. Perhaps instead the Samsung man can tell me where and how I am wrong. So if you want to try and emulate cinema sound experience be prepared to be modestly satisfied. If you want to enhance the speech of general television viewing, be prepared to be megaly disappointed. Down the road of the music quality, I do not wish to go... far too many other problems. Do doubt some other reader will wax lyrical about the soundbar and its qualities and they are entitled to their opinions, for myself I can only speak about by own experience and opinions. If you are going to buy this soundbar - the very best of luck to you.

Rating this 5 stars because while it is not a replacement for a 5.1 channel system, it performs better than several 2.1 systems with a separate sub-woofer in this price range. I have limited space and really wanted to avoid the subwoofer, but was concerned about lack of bass. This soundbar does not disappoint. It gets super loud, with absolute clarity, and provides rich sound with depth. It also integrates very well, and easily, with my 4K samnsung TV (NU8000, 55 inch). It is very very large though--any smaller TV it would be too big. Also minus 1 star because I could not get 4K passthrough to work via hdmi arc (could be my issue though), but the bluetooth connection is easy and simple, as is the wifi.

I have used the sound bar for the past three weeks and it sounds great. If you experience issues with the bass, make sure to adjust the bass. I am using mine with an LG OLED 55" B series tv and previously had the LG with the separate wireless bass. The sound is more full and the bass is amazing for no additional woofer.

I use this sound bar with our largest TV in our home. This soundbar with subwoofer turns our living room into a Theater Room. I also like that you can turn the subwoofer off if you want. Connects wirelessly if you have a late model Samsung TV, or wired if you don't own a Samsung TV. Highly recommend.

I was really excited about the Samsung HW-MS650 sound bar, pairing it with my new Samsung 65" MU8000 TV. Firstly, I got an open box - excellent condition sound bar which came with slight scratches which was disappointing. In the past I've never had an issue with open box items from Best Buy, either way customer service took care of me (kudos to Best Buy). Now to the actual product, via bluetooth the sound quality was impressive! But once I connected my TV via HDMI ARC the sound became distorted. I tried to do the software update, and that didn't help. Like I said the sound bar sounded great via bluetooth but the sound was distorted via HDMI ARC. Guess I'll have to return the sound bar, hopefully its just a defective one.

Sounds good. Worked seamlessly with my samsumg tv, not at seamless with my lg. It sometimes doesn't come on correctly.The virtual surround mode really makes it seem like you have speakers to the left and right of you. Wish it came with the sub. Purchased it separately made the system way more full.

I have the Samsung TV to match this soundbar. The TV is great. This soundbar (Plus the Sub I bought with it) just do not get loud enough! How is this possible to spend $1000 on a soundbar with sub and it barely is loud enough to watch a movie? The sub is only OK. I just don't think 'wireless' is ever going to replace a wire for sub performance. This system is over priced for the actual sound quality it delivers. I am going to be taking it back. I was trying to replace a wired Marantz system. The Marantz with sub sounds absolutely great! This sound bar is just not up to par with a real sound system. The volume from 1 to 50 does OK... From 50 to 100 is barely any difference. Something is definitely wonky with this thing. Kind of frustrating to have to go back and return something after spending an hour trying to decipher the horrible directions it comes with. Very hard to follow! Sub would not pair for about an hour and 20 tries. Then it just started working. This thing is just not ready for primetime. Sonos is probably a better bet. Or a real wired surround system, for sure.

I am blown away by just how good this soundbar is. I can have multiple things set up to use without having to switch cables. Also, I love that I can stream music from my phone too,

The Samsung HW-MS650/ZA soundbar sounds incredible connected to my Samsung 65" NU8000 4K TV. It makes no difference to what I'm listening to (TV, music, radio, etc.) it all sounds great. I don't think there is a better soundbar out there for the price!!!

Good soundbar but not easy to sync with my new “SAMSUNG 75 inch 8 series TV”, as I expected. Took quite a while to get it working properly!l It sounded bad with supplied optical cord so tried HDMI with TVARC and it opened the sound and volume up but still not much bass response. This is not a good soundbar if you want strong bass. I also could not get the “SMART” remote to work with DISH box and will not change TV channels with soundbar remote. Samsung soundbar should be EASY to sync with a brand new Samsung TV but not so!! Bought this soundbar rather than JBL soundbar because wife didn’t want a big subwoofer box in living room. I may return the Samsung soundbar and get the JBL regardless of subwoofer box. My Definitive Technology center channel speaker blows this soundbar out the water on sound quality and volume.

Ok sound, worked well with my Samsung tv but then stopped automatically pairing. Still works, but requires me to manually it pair it every time I want sound to come out of it.

I have a Samsung TV connected from the ARC output to the sound bar via HDMI. When the TV is turned on the sound bar comes on as it should and has a decent sound quality. The MAJOR issue occurs when a show is paused and there is no audio. This sound bar turns off after five minutes of no audio and you'll have to turn it back on. The issue becomes a real pain to deal with every time you pause a video for more than five minutes. This issue is not a defect, it is designed this way, there is no work around, Samsung is aware of it, and it is very annoying.

My wife got me this as an early Christmas present, I did the research. And to be honest, when I got it home and played it, I was thoroughly disappointed. It had almost no bass and sounded really tinny. BUT, somewhere along the line I saw a review that was posted that said you have to break it in, so I gave it a few days and cranked it up every now and then. As a week went by the difference is literally amazing. Watching a 4K program on Netflix or throwing on a Blu-ray DVD, wow is all I can say. This soundbar will totally blow you away. Intense highs from the tweeters and astoundingly low bass from the woofers. As for music, I have had everything from British LEAK speakers to a Polk 5.1 surround system and this Samsung unit sounds comparable if not better. Take my advice, don't rush to judgement, break it in and then sit back and enjoy.

I rarely review items and I buy a ton of crap lol. This sound bar is amazing. Perfect complement to the NU8000 TV. Remotes “just work”. Sounds is phenomenal

Bought this with a Samsung 75" tv. Tv remote picked it up immediately, so I can control volume with it. I had an older model Samsung sound bar and this one blew it away. Sound is amazing and good bass from it. Well worth the money from enthusiasts. Very happy with my purchase.
