The build is mainly plastic. Our other Frigidaire Gallery unit was made mostly of metals. The end tune song to let you know your wash is done can be annoying.

Purchased this model after being happy with a previous Samsung dishwasher, and its successor is honestly worthless. We prewash/scrub everything that goes in and I swear sometimes the dishes come out dirtier than they were when they went in. Most of the time if there is ANYTHING on a dish/glass it gets baked on and is 10x harder to clean than if we'd just washed it by hand. I feel like we were duped. This dishwasher is a joke, spare yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.

Cookie sheets are too high to fit. I have to hand wash them now. Also I feel like not as many dishes fit in the bottom rack. I miss my old dishwasher.

Great bang for value and I love that the door automatically opens once a cycle is done. The buttons are well hidden for young kids.

Has a lot of extra features I’m not used to (our old dishwasher was like 18 years old) so I’m looking forward to seeing how this one works. I don’t like where the controls are vs my old one, as once the door is shut they’re under the lip of the counter so a little hard to get to. There is an odd feature that opens the door at the end to air dry, but it’s confusing with the manual on how to setup or turn off. I’ve only ran one load, so far so good.

Dishes don't get cleaned thoroughly. Right after the year warranty, it gives me errors, and cleaning the filter makes you unscrew 13+ screws and work for your clean. I clean it every 3-6 months. there are water intake errors and my plumbing is fine. I've had apartments I've lived at for years that had old appliances and didn't give me this much trouble. Stay away from Samsung appliances . They may look good and sleek but gives you so much headache!
