Posted .Hello DeannaSmith, I understand how frustrating it can be when results and expectations do not meet. Our dishwashers use condensing dry technology. The auto release door feature assist with the drying performance but you do have the option to disable it. In the user manual on page 12 provides directions on turning the auto release feature on/off (https://bit.ly/3dirIDL). I think it won’t tell you if you press opposing cycles and run. Couldn’t get another one. Maybe discontinued. Loved everything else about it. Just too many run options.

Didn't give it 5 stars because it is a little louder than the washer it replaced. Also had different water connector than my previous washer, had to go to Home Depot to purchase separately.
