Perfect Storage Solution
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m using this for my Xbox One X and find that it significantly improves load times and texture pop-in on Forza Horiza 4 and Call of Duty Cold War. Word of advice: Be cautious when using the back USB port. I found that the back ventilation warms up the USB port. I’ve moved it to the front USB and problem solved. SSD can warm up so standing it up would be ideal for long gaming.

Good external drive

I moved 647 GB with no issues at all and since then have downloaded more to the drive. Doesn't heat up much and has a nice size to it. Its not too big or too small. I have other Samsung ssds and this one doesn't work with Samsung magician for whoever uses that. It will say that the device is not supported, however the device works 100% because Samsung magician is not a requirement.

I can depend on it. I'm using it in tandem with my NAS for full Time Machine backups for my MacBook Pro. Set it and forget it, it just works, and works well. My reasoning for example, is that if perchance we had to evacuate during a natural disaster, it's a backup that I can just grab and go.

I had really large files that would take up too much room (approx. 450GB). I tried using my 4TB G drive, but it was too slow for editing purposes. I finally gave in and bought this Samsung T5 and I am glad I did. The speed and work flow was seamless as though I was working with my internal drive. Not once did my project crash and everything worked perfectly.
