Since 1TB is more than I needed, I re-partitioned it into two 500GB partitions, one formatted for Time Machine and one formatted with EXFAT so I could plug it into both the Air and my Windows box to share files. It has worked really well for both of these uses.

Plex Storage

It was highly recommended and have had no issues. It's a little more expensive than using a flashdrive for storage, but this solid state as far as I understand is more reliable against losing data, so having a safe place to store something important like my wedding video is also hard to put a price on. So It's worth it to me.
