Reformatted and partitioned drive, with one Mac partition and one ExFat partition. Ran drive hard doing a continuous large-volume data write with no thermal issues. Have not used the included encryption software. Wish it came with a storage sleeve.

Please know that the T7 features Dynamic Thermal Guard, which constantly monitors your drive's temperature and automatically throttles temps down when they rise above optimal critical threshold. This protects your data while maintaining responsiveness to help ensure your drive is always safe from overheating.
