Had it for just over a year. For the price it appears durable and fast. Comes with both a USB-C to USB-C cord and an USB-A to USB-C cord. Would like to see one with even more capacity than 4TB

High speed transfer rate, massive storage, rugged and compact.

I recently purchased the Samsung T7 Shield 2TB External USB 3.2 Gen 2 Rugged SSD IP65 Water Resistant for use as a storage device for my Tesla dashcam. While I ultimately returned the device because it was not suitable for this specific purpose, I did find it to be an excellent product overall. The T7 Shield is very rugged and durable, with an IP65 water-resistant rating that makes it ideal for use in outdoor environments or other harsh conditions. The 2TB storage capacity is also impressive, providing ample space for storing large files such as high-quality video recordings. Although I did not end up using the T7 Shield for very long, due to its incompatibility with my Tesla dashcam, I found it to be very easy to set up and use. The transfer speeds were very fast, allowing me to quickly move files between my devices and the external SSD. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Samsung T7 Shield 2TB External USB 3.2 Gen 2 Rugged SSD IP65 Water Resistant to anyone in need of a durable and high-capacity storage device. While it didn't work for my specific needs, it worked great for the little time I used it and I have no doubts about its overall quality and performance.

The Samsung T7 Shield 2TB External USB is a great addition to my home network. It's very light, small, and I keep it next to my router, where i have it attached to my router's USB port. I can access the T7 through my home computer, my Nvidia Shield TV or any other device you want connected to your network. I keep movies, photos and other files needed to share with within in network. Works well for my needs.

This ssd drive is flawless! I love the speed and size! I use it for editing on premiere pro. I’ve only done it with 1080 footage. I want to use it with 4k footage next.

So far so good. Bought this as a replacement hard drive when my 5-6 yr one failed. Luckily the IT group I took the old one to was able to recover my original files because it had a disk in it. This Samsung one does not as a heads up. While it's more stable and less likely to fail overall, when it does fail, the data will unlikely be recoverable. So it's best to have backup in a few places like an online/cloud, an SSD, and/or a secondary hard drive. Especially if the files are important. That's the advice the IT Guys gave me. It's good advice so I'm passing it along. The SSD itself feels super light, very portable, has a nice grippy texture. Plug and play.

I am not that techy of a person but this was still super easy to use and understand. It has a great feel to it, and the sort of rubbery case it has on it makes it really hard for it to slip or fall of a desk. It comes with both USB type A (the normal one) and USB-C, which makes it very versatile for different uses

Quick Transfer speeds and a drop resistance of 2 meters and no major manufacturing issues makes it the ideal reliable ssd. especially if you're clumsy like me. I did get mine on sale, and except for a little dust inside the package it seemed in excellent condition.

Transferring from my phone to the drive is so fast. It's durable and a good size. The size isn't too small or big.

This drive has a good high-quality feel to it, like it would be durable enough for taking along in a backpack with an iPad. It’s fast, quiet, and I expect it to last a long time. As for the software that comes with it then my advice is don’t bother if you’re using mac devices. Just erase and format the drive for Mac and it’ll work great. I’m happy.

Overall, the SSD was very easy to operate and work with. It worked as a backup for my computer perfectly. It was smaller than I expected, but it fits in the case I bought with all of its components easily. I also appreciate that it has texture--it really helps it be less slippery

My wife loved it. The texture is amazing. Just keep in mind that you need to connect it from time to time so it doesn’t lose the information. You can’t just leave it in a drawer for six years without connecting it.

So this isna great product. It small, lightweight and has a large space. The price was very reasonable for the size and it processes information quickly. I demoed this guy in Chicago at a training session for my job and had to have one. My only critique is that BBY did not offer a warranty on it. We all know things happen and I like to ease of mind knowing I have a warranty to cover any unforseen issues. I pay by the yr so EVERYTHING I purchase at BBY is covered. I feel like the ball was dropped in this sense. This is the ONLY reason i didnt give 5 stars.

I have reviewed many products lately mainly because I’ve been mostly underwhelmed by their quality or performance. But after buying this portable SSD, I feel everyone needs to know how wonderful and delightful they are to use! I am paranoid about data loss, my laptop was running out of space, so after much research, I decided to try this Samsung SSD to have a physical backup of my important data and photos/videos. I am throughly impressed! The SSD is solidly built, is small and more importantly it has insane read/write speeds! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who needs a dependable backup solution for their important data!
