Overall, I really like it. It is easy to setup & easy to use. And it is pretty fast. 1 thing that would make it even better would be if it came with a way to Synch so that Additions or Modifications to the original source (my PC) would be automatically ID'd and applied the External Drive. Instead of my having to Copy ALL or ask myself, "Now, What did I actually do today? Did I create or edit any Word docs today, etc.?

This is my second T7 2TB external HD. I use a blue one for TimeMachine backups of a MacBook Air and a black one for external storage of iTunes backups of two iPhones and two iPads done on the MacBook Air. I like the rugged rubber-covered drives. The drives a plenty fast for backups and provide air gapped storage. I have been using Samsung SSD drives since they first became available. I have at least 12 total and have ever had a problem.

Not an awful lot to say. After my "competitor brand" external HD began showing signs of failing I quickly ran out and got another Samsung. They also came highly recommended by my computer repairman who said he never gets anyone in the shop for problems with their Samsung drives.

This has been a revolutionary purchase for me. I needed a place to store large video files that were consuming valuable hard drive space and preventing me from editing or transferring new files onto my laptop. This will store almost 2 years of files, and I am very satisfied with how easy it was to format and set up. One word of caution, I initially formatted the drive in FAT and it was incapable of transferring files larger than 4GB, so if you are dealing with files that large, or larger, don't forget to format into XFAT from the beginning and save yourself the hassle of having to pull everything off the drive and reformat it. All in all it was a great drive and if I ever need another external, I will be picking us another T7 Shield.

I use this drive to store all of my video games on and I am happy with both the speed of the drive and the capacity. My games load up quick and I haven't had any issue during game play. The 4TB size means I have plenty of storage space for my existing and future games.

1TB is a decent amount for games. 1000GBs is atleast 10 100GB sized games. Transfer speeds are pretty fast. Samsung takes the cake in data storage/tranfer speeds for their extra storage devices.

Great speed and excellent performance. Solid on the road as a backup for anything that connects to USB C, l cannot look back, and also use on on Blackmagic 6k Pro for recording. That requires a better cable to manage power issues but solid drive all round.

Very nice drive. Easy to setup and use with password protection. Works well with Windows 11. One drawback and it may be a lack of understanding on my part but I haven't been able to use 2 of these drives at the same time.

Fast, sturdy, and capacious. Great value for money!

My wife plugged this into her 8 year old computer to back up her pictures. After a few minutes she says "I don't think it is working. I tried coping my file over and it looked like it started. But now it is not showing any progress." That's because it had copied all the data over 10X faster than expected!!!! A bit pricey but better than a spinning disk any day.

Samsung drives have always been my choice when it comes to internal SSD's or external hard drives and this is definitely well worth the purchase. The rugged shell and easy of use reliability has always been something I can count on.

This SSD was recommended to me by the Best Buy Geek Squad representative. I was skeptical about it, but I went ahead and bought it. This SSD is excellent and very fast when moving files. I like the design of the rugged-out skirt.

I got this to do Time Machine backups for a MacBook Air M2. It is compact, fast, and has rubber classing to protect it. I don't notice any overheating. It comes with both USB C to USB C and USB 3.0 to USB C cables. It has to be first formatted so it can do Time Machine backups.

Slim, fast transfer speeds, and great color. Love that drive included a C to C and USB to C cables. Prefect for someone like me who can easily switch between my older laptop to my newer desktop/phone to easily store photos and documents. Wish I would have made this purchase sooner.

I picked this t7 drive for my Time Machine backup’s on my MacBook pro. It’s fast and compatible. I’ve used Samsung ssds before and I have found them very reliable. Great price on the Black Friday sale. Come with 2 cables.
