No frills solid state drive. Didn't benchmark the read/write speeds. The drive is amazing for Windows 10. I'd strongly recommend if upgrading from HDD.

If you're worried about the performance of your hard drive, or just want to perform responsible periodic maintenance on your Windows filesystem, we've put together a series of illustrated steps that will guide you through the process. Tip: Close all open programs, web browsers, etc. before performing a disk scan to ensure that disk activity is minimal while the disk is being scanned. Tip: If you are using a very old version of Windows, including Windows 95, 98, and ME, you should boot the computer into Safe Mode before running ScanDisk.

The only reason that the rating is not a 5 is because of the materials. I mean, on the inside, all of these SSDs are glorified thumb drives, but I worry about the plastic case on these. But they work as expected...makes logging in seem I stand. I would definitely buy more.

Don't get me wrong, this SSD is much faster than your typical HDD but it doesn't compare to more expensive models and brands. My Samsung 850 EVO reads and writes much faster than this SSD. I would definitely buy this again for changing a laptop HDD or for faster storage for games.

Needed to build a couple of computers. Best buy had plenty of sandisk 120gb ssd hard drives in stock, and price matched a local Competitor, no hassle!

Good SSD for the price when on sale. Ive found it ends up being cheaper to purchase these when on sale from local store than to constantly order online

If you are looking for nothing but a fast boot drive for little cost, this one is for you. I have many Sandisk SSDs and they seem to just keep working.

I've bought a bunch of these and they are great for replacing standard hard drives in PCs. You will notice the difference in speed, even with an older PC.

Used this to speed up an ok laptop. Computer starts up faster and loads programs much faster. Also helps with battery life and a little bit with weight.

This was a great deal, not only did I save over $20 over other retailers this drive performs very well. I read the specs and compared it to other 120 GB drives and it could not be beat for the low cost. I used it to replace a standard 3.5 HD, the PC was being used in a small business doing Auto Cad and the user does not save any files to the HD, so this drive was perfect fit. The performance over standard 3.5" HD @ 7200rpm was huge. The user said it was like having a new PC with faster CPU. Boot speed when form over 20 sec to 7/10 sec, apps opened instantly.

I will be willing to add more stars after a longer review period. Very happy so far

This SanDisk SSD while looking basic is really a great deal for the price. The speeds on it run OS's such as windows perfectly.

A must have for upgrading or rebuilding a computer. Having a faster boot up, shorter shut down, and faster data speed makes a difference for me.

when you want your computer to start and load faster. just need to change the old drive out for a solid state drive. great drive. works as expected

Great for gamers. Does not work as hard as the internal hardrive my computer came with. More space for my machine, doe not get extremely hot.

Replaced drive in an old laptop & loaded Ubuntu Linux. Loaded fine, no problems. Very fast, gave this 10 year old former XP laptop a new life.

Awesome SSD. For the price I thought you get what you pay for however I got more than what it was worth it I love it and it works just fine.

Installed this is a very ancient laptop, and the difference in performance is like the difference between night and day. Very satisfied.
