The compact size is very convenient to pack during travel. Small size but big memory. Might get another one if the price is right.

Fantastic little portable SSD! Super speedy 1gbit/s read/write and included usb c-c cable and c-a dongle. Great value when paired with a 15% off coupon from trading in an old storage device or hard drive. Its rubberized finish can get a little gross, but is worth the extra drop protection. On the inside, there's supposedly an NVME SSD (according to my CrystalDiskInfo software) which explains the speed.

My primary drive on my desktop was a 256 gig ssd with a 1tb sata slave drive. My Steam folder was over 300 gigs so I had to use the sata drive. Games ran like crap, so I bought this external ssd to play games off of. Best investment I made. Performance, frame rate all went waaayyy up, and I can just plug it into my laptop as well and play from that.

So far this is an excellent Hard-drive. It works quickly doesn't seem to get too hot. The rugged exterior is an extra layer of projection for computer data. While this is a more expensive product it's totally worth it so far. It doesn't have extra cumbersome software taking up hard drive space and Best Buy seems to provide really aggressive discounts also (large discounts that B&H and other electronic stores).

Fast, compact storage I am not scared to carry around. I have had older spinning rust external drives fail on me over the years and with this SSD I am not worried. This drive is fast and compact. The drive can heat up when transferring lots of data so keep that in mind so it has some air flow around it.

Pretty fast SSD. With the recent price drops, the SanDisk Extreme is a great value for anyone who needs portable or small-format storage. I love that I can clip it to a laptop bag & take it with me when I travel, and the USB-C plug delivers fast transfer speeds for MacBook users.

This little Solid State Drive is 1gb and very portable in pocket or whatever. Excellent security, however difficulty with having it active if you leave it connected to your computer after sleep mode or shutdown, has to be unplugged and re-plugged to recognize. I am using encrypted pwd-activated mode. May be different if you are using unencrypted mode.

I had purchased a 256GB version of this to use as a backup for my laptop. When I started needing to share my computer with my roommate I quickly ran out of space and so I bought this 1TB one. I love that it has both a USB A and USB C connection, and it's so quick that its my laptop that is the bottleneck when transferring large files.

SanDisk really came through with this portable SSD. It is the perfect size and the transfer speeds are optimal. I was initially looking at purchasing a regular portable hard drives for cost savings, but SSD's are worth the extra money. After doing my own research and speaking with a Best Buy expert, I took the dive with SanDisk. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to recommend this device.

Four stars because it has only been in use for a month, so I have no sense of how reliable SSD will turn out to be compared to rotating media. Reliability is my most important criterion. If a drive fails and you lose data, it doesn't matter how fast, compact or pretty it was, I am using this SSD as the principal data storage on a new desktop so it gets a workout. Using external data storage is the best way I've found to get back in business after a hardware failure. I will probably buy another SanDisk SSD to replace my current backup external hard-drive as soon as I am comfortable with its reliability.

A lot of storege, easy to upload photos, small to carry

I wanted memory that would work with the iPhone 4K and 60 fps setting on the camera. This fixes the problem. It is large enough and fast enough. Exactly what is needed to do full ProRes.

Small with great capacity. All computers recognize this external hard drive. I received many compliments from my friends. No many people knows that this technology is ease available. Great speed of transfer. No moving parts. Very nice price at BestBuy. I bought it as gift for my friend and girlfriend as at gift. They love it. I have 2TB at home for my use. Unbelievable product to use and even to touch the very smooth surface.
