Sometimes it works
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have one of these for pictures and media (works awesome) and i have one for just music (1gig) the music one works 30% of the time, my computer just wont see it as a external drive most of the time. So when i need to get to my stuff it sometimes works. Very frustrating! I feel there are better choces for SSD drives out now and soon will get a more reliable drive. I inly give it 3 star because one of them works good and other dont. Also nothing online to help this delema or through the company. At a loss

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really don't like that this portal USB drive goes to "sleep" when not in use even though it's still connected to my laptop. This means that when I go to access my files I have to wait for the drive to startup which causes a delay in opening and saving the files in Word, Excel, etc.

Poor performance; has begun to fail after 3 years

Speeds are abysmal--nothing compared to advertised data transfer rates (even over USB-C). Rarely hits above 500 MB/s read and write. And as of recently, I swear it's started to fail. Files take forever to load, File Explorer freezes when I select the drive, it's just a mess. Reformatting doesn't help. I reckon I'll have to replace this drive soon with another brand.

Avoid, Bad buy

Less than 2 years later, and it glitches out, google around, looking like all my backup data is gone for good, including the first year of life for my son on our 4k camera.
