I basically purchased this for high storage and light weight so that I can carry it while traveling and I found the same thing it is very portable and light in weight

Got this for work when I needed something easily portable that could hold large video files. It didn't disappoint. I haven't bothered to clock it but file transfers are very quick when utilizing USB-C to USB-C connection. The solid, rubberized casing is durable. You could probably throw this thing across the room and it would be okay (DON'T throw it across the room.) It's small enough to be slipped comfortably into a pocket. Grabbed it on sale for less than $100. No regrets!

Tons of storage and extremely fast! I use it to store my previous graphic design projects as well as photos from my phone.

Very impressed with this drive. And the compact and rugged exterior casing - with the speed as well. Standard port is USB-C but comes with an adaptor to USB-A. no drivers needed for win10 - was auto-detected and able to use. Encryption software is INCLUDED! Does the job, good sizing at 1 TB and very quick!

I buy a lot of external hard drives to both back up my computers and to store my photographic work. In terms of lightweight storage and protection this SanDisk is amazing. Now you can pay a similar price to get a HDD that will have more storage ( I can think of at least three drive makers that have 5TB drives for about the same price ) but this SanDisk SSD is ridiculously small and solid in design. I literally put it in the pocket on my camera bag wear I would usually put an energy bar. The SanDisk also seems solid enough to take some shocks without the worry of head crashes. It is also extremely fast on both read and write. You can rely on this bit of technology.

This portable SSD is perfect. It's small and inconspicuous. People won't hesitate to ask you "What is that?" and you will drink in their envy as you explain how the future of portable media is already here in your pocket. It is so tactile you'll find yourself absentmindedly running your fingers over the drop-resistant surface. It becomes meditative, like prayer beads or a fidget spinner. I have primarily used this SSD to move shows and movies to my android phone, easily accomplished with X-Plore or Total Commander. The only way it could be more accessible would be if it could conduct wireless data transfers, but you'll hardly notice that middleman of a cable with its blazing fast speeds and 2022 ready USB-C port. If you're currently relying on ancient portable hard drives for this service, forget about having a USB to USB-C converter or needing a drive mounting app on your phone or worrying about power consumption. This thing is resilient. Like, so resilient I felt compelled to write this, my first ever review, because the world needs to know. Sure, this SSD survived flying thousands of miles and suffered use and abuse for six months aboard a Los-Angeles-class Fast Attack Submarine, but it faced its greatest challenge upon returning to shore: when it went through the washer and dryer. And it still works. My files are still intact and accessible. Now, I don't know if the engineers at SanDisk took this thing home and left it in their own shorts to be put through the wash - for science - and I certainly don't recommend anyone try this on their own, but I was ecstatic to discover that The Little SSD That Could still could. If I were to give this piece of modern engineering a con, it would be: The SanDisk Extreme Portable Solid State Drive is so small and so portable you can forget it's in your pocket and accidentally send it through the washer and dryer. But if you want a reliable, laundry-resistant SSD, you can't go wrong here. Just get yourself the 2TB model; you deserve it.

This makes an excellent complement to the M1 Macbook Air. Since I purchased the least expensive Macbook Air, I needed the extra hard drive space. The main features that I like about the SanDisk Extreme Portable are that (1) it is fast (especially using USB-C), (2) it is built rugged, and (3) it has a small size that fits easily into my MacBook Air sleeve. One of my concerns was that I would not be able to get files off my other computer using standard USB. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and found that it comes with a standard USB adapter. I highly recommend this product

This is the fastest Portable USB Hard drive I have ever used. It is made by Western Digital who owns SanDisk. WD is known for making one of the most reliable hardrives in the industry. It comes with a USB Type C to USB Type A dongle for use on devices with older USB Type A ports. It also had a 5 year warranty. I would highly recommend this Sandisk SSD Portable USB drive to anyone who wants the fastest Portable USB Hard drive and the lightest one I have ever used. It works with the Xbox one X and the Xbox Series S & X. You can't install Xbox Series S or X games on it.. you can only install Xbox One, 360 and original Xbox games.

Got the Sandisk for a last minutiae file extraction/ transfer! Over 900gbs in the drive no issues, and transferred everything over seamlessly, and quickly! Needed it quick, so I’m glad I was able to snag it from Best Buy right before they closed!

This an excellent portable external USB backup. It is very easy to install, use, very reliable and I am most happy that I have it. I use it every day while I use my PC.
