Do not buy this!

I've been using SanDisk SSD's for years and this one started acting funky a few days after I got it. I didn't think much of it and kept working. Yesterday it completely unmounted itself and now I have to re-start editing a wedding I was almost done with. I'm so disappointed and just frustrated that this happened. I definitely think there is something wrong with this 2tb batch so beware!

Drive FAILED

When I would open folders, they would either show as empty or with only part of the contents. If I went out and back in a few times, the content would start to load. Now the drive will no longer mount at all. My only option is to reformat it, but I don't trust it with my data. I purchased this drive less than six months ago. This is an epic failure and I'm seeing many others experiencing failures with this drive as well.

Worst ever!

I have purchased several of the 1TB versions without a problem from any of them. The 2TB model failed within a few days. I lost a clients work and missed a deadline recovering everything. It was a nightmare. I actually tried to use it again thinking I had done something and it failed agin. It works on day and the next day all is lost. I'm not sure I can trust a replacement.

Corrupt Drive showing up as “untitled”

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If I could give zero stars I would… this drive worked initially, I used it to backup/edit 2 photo sessions and upon unplugging and plugging it back in the following day the drive showed up as “untitled” with absolutely no content on the drive… I was able to spend $100 for disk drill and recover some of my images but not all. This drive is a total waste of money and can not be counted on to keep your content safe and accessible. Do not recommend!

dont buy

I,m not the only person with this model that has this problem . Ive always had good look with sandisk untill this product. ive spent just as much recovering my photos as what i paid for this crap

Fool Me Once...Shame on SanDisk

The next day, the drive had wiped out most of my data, seemingly randomly. Luckily I had a backup. On the second day, the drive became unreadable by my Mac. Having to use EaseUS Data Recovery on the drive because there is new work on it. Once it's recovered all my files, I will be returning this drive. Never again SanDisk.

Caution

Failed to Store Data

The next day I opened the drive. My client's video files are gone. I thought it was my mistake and tried again. It FAILED AGAIN. It is so frustrating to me as I brought a couple of these and it is past the return window. Just stay away from SanDisk drives.

Very disappointed in SanDisc

This drive died on me three times. I was able to heal it but each time I lost more and more data. Ultimately I returned it. I use these for my profession and will never trust one again. Use the Samsung equivalent instead.

Product Failed!!

SanDisk support suggested I reformat and try again. Decided to be their guinea pig. Product failed again in less than 12 hours. Will return to in the morning and seek a different brand.

Corrupted in <48hrs

As a digital media professional, I'm very wary to order this product again. I've had excellent experiences with the non-pro version of this product, but this corruption issue is disconcerting. If you decide to use this product, back up work your work obsessively.

No usable

Western digital needs handle this issue as it is a big problem with many consumers, and best buy needs to pull these off itself and accept returns, which was not granted to me.

Unreliable SSD

Bought it in May 20, 2023 and very disappointed in the extreme Pro. Never had issue with the Extreme 2TB Extreme but highly NOT recommend relying on the Pro Extreme.

I have purchased several and 3 of them refuse to mount, have to be formatted, then you plug them in but you can't see the folders. My computer guy suggests these but won't purchase again.

Failure. Poor choice.

Can’t believe I trusted this manufacturer with my sentimental pictures. Even newborn baby pictures and videos. Don’t make the mistake I made.

This ssd WILL FAIL

The disc stopped working

Bad batch?

I purchased two others because I thought it was just the one item, but it turned out all three broke after two weeks. It turned out that apparently the batch was defective.
