A: I recently purchased this drive from Best Buy in Bradenton, FL, at the UTC Mall. It failed 1-week later. To begin, I was sold a drive that someone had opened, used to video a wedding, and left 65GB of photos and videos on it. They returned it, and Best Buy reboxed it, put it on the shelf, and sold it to me. Unfortunately for me, I had to travel immediately after purchasing the drive, so the 30-day return window expired, and now I am stuck with a junk drive that cost me $230+ How can anyone take a drive back and not check it for use, virus, or other bad things on the drive before they resell it to someone? I have other SSD drives, and I've had no problem with them. However, this drive is nothing but a fishing weight as of now. It has been reformatted 10-12 times, erased, mounted, and unmounted, using Disk Utility and First Aid; NOTHING WORKS. In a day or three, it drops its name, unmounts itself, and cannot be used. I would NOT BUY this drive!!!!
A: Please allow us to inform you that the amount of current required to power this portable SSD device is approximately 1.1 amps. This SSD should work with most higher-end mobile phones that do provide sufficient power. However, we would suggest you check the same with your host device manufacturer.
