It made a noticeable difference in the boot time, program launch time, and overall "feel" in the computer, although it does not benchmark as fast as more expensive drives. After buying several Sandisk drives, though, I consider them overall a good value to inexpensive add an SSD where absolute performance isn't paramount.

Good as a startup drive

You can use this as the startup drive and have a large slow drive as the second. Access times are good and so far the ssd is reliable. No complaints about power usage either.

Hard drive

The Geek Squad assisted me in replacing it and they also recommended a back up using the Passport. I am happy with both the purchases and also with the plan I purchased from Geek Squad. Thank you!

Snappy Drive

It may say "for laptops" on the advertisement, but I installed it on my PC as the operating system drive in a Windows 10 environment. My startup time went from 1 minute and 27 seconds to 6.7 seconds!
