this is the basic line of sandisk SSDs, it's fine for upgrading old laptops, but I wouldn't say it's a top performer. definitely faster than any spinning drive but not one of the fastest ssds by a long shot. the build quality is all plastic, in line with what you would expect for this kind of price. if you want a better drive get samsung, but if you just want cheap and decent quality then get this.

This ssd is my go to when upgrading slow Computers. I NEVER HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THEM.

Now more than ever, cause of the price and performance, it is a good idea to invest in a SSD. I pay around 40 bucks for my SSD and even tho the capacity isn't that big (240 Gb) it is really quick and performs as advertised if not better.

Brought new life and speed to two older laptops. Bought one for mine and my wife's.

This was not my first Sandisk SSD drive so when this was available on sale, it was perfect timing to replace my clients failed sata hardrive. Install was a breeze, and performance was better than before with still a good amount of usable space after formatting!!

I bought this drive to upgrade a regular hard drive and it exceeded my expectations. The performance increase is amazing. Made the machine faster than when it was first purchased. I highly recommend upgrading to a solid state drive.

Very easy to install, used it on an old HP G4 – 1050 model, noticed a dramatic difference from converting from an HDD, this SSD made my computer so fast it literally started up within 20 seconds, compared to five minutes on my old hard drive

Installed this in an all in one desktop. Computer had a normal HD in it. Performance was improved three fold after installing this SSD. Computer went from a five minute boot time to less than a minute. Has been put through its paces since installed with no errors.

I have an old Toshiba Satellite , just 10 years old , but still working fast , now with this SSD , omg , much much faster , boot in less than 40 sec , i love it , Photoshop in like 6 seconds , i recommend everyone to update to SSD , this is fast and cheap too

Used this SSD and 8 gigs of DDR3 memory to upgrade a cheap Acer laptop for general purposes. With the aforementioned upgrades, I noticed at least a 5 to 6 fold increase in speed. Boot up times are now also instantaneous and the laptop can handle programs which can create moderately heavy resource loads -- like Visual Studio. The only thing I would add is if you are moving from a spinning hard drive to a SSD under Windows 10 -- make sure that TRIM functionality is turned on.

I use it for my job.good speed for data and if you use for os.boot is so quickly

I replaced my HHD with this SSD and noticed a big improvement in speed. I am sure there are faster SSDs out there, but this one was cheap and the right size. It doesn't come with a bracket though if you want to replace a 3.5 in hard drive.

I've used multiple SanDisk SSDs in multiple computer systems, and have never had a problem. It makes older hardware, especially those with spinning drives, fell much, much faster. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade from a spinning HDD.

After using a Mac Mini since 2012, we knew we needed an upgrade. We didn't want to invest in a whole new computer, this SSD upgrade is all we needed. The computer works lightening fast, faster than the day we got it! Very affordable upgrade.

My primary use for the SSD is for my PCs OS (Windows 10.) Let me tell you this product is absolutely great! My boot time total is 9 seconds to get into my desktop. The fact that it is less than $100.00 and has plenty of storage for OS and future upgrades.

I bought this for my fat 80 GB PS3 that the HD was starting to fail. This was on sale thought may as well go SSD if I'm replacing the drive. This has worked perfectly and was super easy to install. I bought the thumb drive along with it to transfer all my data. If you are looking to upgrade the PS3 hard drive this is perfect for it. I also have this in the 480 GB size in an old laptop. It has changed the way it works 10 fold faster.

SSDs are pretty straightforward. You don't get a lot of MB/$, but you get speed. I used this to refresh an i3 laptop. It booted much faster and the overall disk access performance improved, giving the machine some extra life. Overall... Happy with the purchase.

I installed this on an six year old HP dm1 laptop to improve performance and extend the life of the machine. The results were a bit less than expected from my experience installing Crucial SSD's on other machines, BUT this may be due to the amount of junk software that HP installed on their machines of that era. This is a Windows 7 machine that I wanted to keep around just in case. The laptop boots much faster than it did with the spinning disk, so I'm happy.
