Super fast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When my old 500 GB hard drive went out, I could have got an exact replacement for about $50, but for $10 more , I was able to get this one and although it is only 240 GB, the speed it unbelievable! Windows 10 is completely ready to use within 8 seconds of a press of the power button, and shut down is done within 20 seconds!

Lord knows the price is right on these SSD's now...my next buil will probably completely use SSD's. Now I have all my operating system and program installs on C drive with data on redundant drives with an off-site back-up. This is the way to go!

Nice upgrade for older devices.

Replaced a 10 year old 750GB drive that was failing. Will not miss the unused space. The SSD came with a link to download cloning software. Very pleased with the resulting performance.

Great Product

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.installed in 2011 macbook pro since the hard drive was failing and was able to install the Sierra version of the Mac OS. the start up and operation of the laptop is much better and faster than before - glad i changed to the SSD; but best yet, Best Buy matched the price on Amazon.

Can't Go Wrong with an SSD

A complete upgrade was needed. Loading Windows on the drive was a cinch. He was amazed how fast he was able to boot into Windows after it was all done. Two months later, the drive still works flawlessly.

I show four stars because there were no instructions as to installing and what to do after replacing the old hard drive with the new one. I had to go on YouTube for instructions. Other than that it works well.

Very greatful for the recommendation. This HD rocks! So much smoother and faster operation than the disc drive the laptop came with! Highly recommend to upgrade if you can.

Made an old laptop zippy again

What a difference! It seems most of the bottlenecks are in reading from and writing to the disk - with no moving parts, the transfer speed is amazing. Everything moves faster. Way less expensive than a new laptop.
