macOS performs relatively poorly on standard, spinning hard drives; an SSD like this is an excellent, affordable upgrade to keep an older laptop in service

I have a 2012 MBP, used to have the stock 500gb HDD until it died with everything in it. Changed it for this SSD and now my MBP is running better than new!

I needed to pick up an ssd for my sister's slow and aged laptop. Swapped out the hard drive with this and now she doesn't have any speed issues.

Set this up in new pc with only Windows on it. Have a second drive for the data and Windows 10 moves incredibly fast on this SSD drive.

I have bought many of these before switching to Samsung and Crucial.. These use to be the cheapest SSDs on the market and would crash. I have recently started buying them again and I have to say. So far so reliable.

Installed easily with a separate bracket purchase. Running Windows 10 OS and boots up the xtremely fast.

I was suspect of the brand as all I had used prior to this was Samsung, but this SANDISK is an excellent drive. It's very quick and the price was awesome.

Some of my systems just don't need a lot of space, but they still need speed and reliability. Can't go wrong with this name brand drive.

Great price and great read speeds. Write speeds are a little lower than some other drives in the same price range, but I felt like reliability would be good with the sandisk brand and was worth the slight decrease in write speed. Install was quick and easy. No complaints so far. I would buy it again.

If you're worried about the performance of your hard drive, or just want to perform responsible periodic maintenance on your Windows filesystem, we've put together a series of illustrated steps that will guide you through the process. Tip: Close all open programs, web browsers, etc. before performing a disk scan to ensure that disk activity is minimal while the disk is being scanned. Tip: If you are using a very old version of Windows, including Windows 95, 98, and ME, you should boot the computer into Safe Mode before running ScanDisk.

Great use as an OS boot drive. 240gb is more than most people need for this use, but it works well. stable, and fast.
