However, the storage capacity is supposed to be 128 GB, whereas mine is 114 GB. Also, in order to extend or retract, I have to press really hard.

The difference in available capacity—128GB showing as 114GB—is due to how storage is calculated and how formatting reserves space. You can find a simple explanation and a calculation here (https://support-en.sandisk.com/app/answers/detailweb/a_id/35080) The slider may feel a bit firm initially but often loosens up with regular use.

It is slow in writing as reported by other users but that does not bother me. Also the USB connector has a tendency to slide out if put on a keychain and placed in a pocket because of the placement of the keychain hole. So far no mishap over last 3-4 weeks and is working as expected
