Speed on Package is Misleading

Write speeds to the flash drive are much, much slower!!! They need to state on the package that write speeds are hideously slow at around 10 MB/s at best.

Unfortunately the pin is stuck and can’t be pried free. I’m returning it for an exchange since it’s a factory defect, presumably.

As usual open file systems like JFS (IBM's Journaling File System) out performed vfat/ntfs and hfs/hfs+, however, regardless of FS the drive became slower as it went along. This problem was the same regardless of OS, GNU Linux (12 Distros) XP (best performance for MS) and Apple. Here it is and it's dead - days after the warranty expired. This has happened with SanDisk so often, I've had enough. I will NEVER buy another San Disk product again. They just don't last long enough to warrant the purchase. I have a cheap no name drives that out lasted and out performed Sandisk.

This would make it much harder to lose. I've had it 2 1/2 months and it broke today. Not good.
