Bought this on black Friday for around $39.99. Now it is up to $100.00. Look at Walmart they have it way cheaper. The drive transferred around 52GB of music from my pc's 3.0 usb port. After an hour and a half it was done. The usb stick is said to have 128GB, after plugging it in only 116GB are actually available. DONT BUY.

    Died in under a month

Purchased this for the sole purpose of keeping my graphic art safely on. Worked great until it didn't. With 12GBs of graphic designs it decided to just die one day; in under a month. So here I am looking to purchase another to only find the price has more than tripled since September! For the $37 I paid in September - it's worth a shot. But for the $119.99 (November, not even 2 fulls month) I wouldn't even consider it.

This on sale and was a good price. It says fast and 128 gb but when i opened the packet and used in my laptop it was not like 3.0. It is really slow like 2.0. They said 128 gb but it has only 102 gb available.

    Slow write speeds

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I got it because it said it had speeds up to 100 MBps, but that is its read speed. The read speed was great but the write speed a burst speed of 40MBps. The drive plained out at 20 MBps which is no faster/not much faster, then my other USB 2.0 flash drives. The flash drive is great if all you need is good read speeds.

Honestly terrible. Slowest drive I own, and NOT intuitive at all to set up. I have never had an encrypted drive that was less intuitive than this. I'm trying to transfer a folder of 47 GB word files and .pdfs and it says over 5 hours to transfer.

Purchased to use for music playback with my stereo and home theatre receiver components that have USB front panel access. ( Onkyo 929 and 727 ). Receivers recognize but will not play. All of my desktop and laptop computers recognize and will play.

I got several of these drives at a great price from Best Buy. I found them to be reliable, but so slooow! Write speed is around 3 MB/s on a USB 3.0 port. Writing 64 GB takes around 7 hours.

    Cheap garbage

If you're looking for quality look elsewhere. I'd suggest spending. More f you want something that will last. This is honesty the cheapest feeling device I've ever purchased for a computer, and I've bought no name $5 wireless cards off amazon. The plastic honestly feels like somebody bought a happy meal, took the box, and used it as the case for a thumb drive. You could probably break it by lightly pressing on it with your index finger. What happened to quality goods? My last san disk was much better quality.

    Don't buy!

I had this drive for only 7months before it failed on me. I lost 18 years of work that I had on it. Luckily, I still had the original files because it could not be recovered. However, I did lose several months of revisions. I tried to format the drive so I could use it again, but it won't even do that. Don't waste your money! Save yourself the headache and make sure to backup regularly!

    Not USB 3.0

    Posted .

This jump drive is not a USB 3.0 jump drive, it is USB 2.0. The Sandisk part number SDCZ48-128G-A46 on the Sandisk web site indicates it is USB 2.0. That is far different than USB 3.0. A USB 3.0 drive and socket always has a blue tab as an indicator. Even the Geek Squad guy at the store said it was USB 3.0. He should know better.

I purchased one of this SanDisk flash drive (128GB) to take it with me on trip and upload all my pictures. Back home, I plug the SanDisk and the application won't let me open my secure files and is practically all gone.. SanDisk support couldn't do anything. Never again I will buy one of their products.

If you purchase this drive check to be sure you are getting what you paid for! I formatted my drive for the first time since purchase in early 2015 to find that it was a 32GB drive.
