After transferring data from my computer, I plugged the device into my phone (Samsung Galaxy S9+) and accessed the data. Nothing complex - just some ebooks. After a few minutes, the unit was not just warm but very hot - uncomfortably so. I tested the port on the phone by using the adapter that came with the phone and a UBS thumb drive (also by SanDisk) - no problems with either the adapter or the thumb drive. A bit warmer than usual for a drive but nothing very noticeable. I contacted SanDisk and was told that the degree of heat was not usual and I should return it to Best Buy. I really like the idea of this drive but I think I will wait awhile before I buy it again. A few too many buyers have had the same problem. I am sure SanDisk will get it fixed - I have never had a problem with one of their drives before.

Speeds tend to fluctuate from very fast to very slow. Good buy at the price I got it at, which was around $25
