Very much what you'd expect for the cost. The drive does not seem to get hot to the touch, as others do.

Brought it in to Geek Squad $100 later , mother board fried, Do you want this info backed up? I guess as I wasn't sure what I might have on there ok another $100, Oh by the way you need to purchase a Flashdrive and we happen to have one on sale another $18. After $218.00 Had to purchase new computer, not tech savvy so I had to call HP several times to get it going and have only data recovered from flash drive NOT ANY PROGRAMS. I guess my info is on the new computer, now if I can just find it ! GEEK SQUAD OVERPRICED.. SERVICES OVERPRICED, AND SHOULD HAVE INCLUDED THE FLASH DRIVE FOR THE PRICE.

You can connect the drive to the computer and start transferring the data using drag and drop or copy/ paste method. You do not require any special driver, firmware update or software to use the drive on computer.

My husband had just passed and i needed copies of a another items so I could have them.

Does the job for now

However I have had trouble inserting it into my computer occasionally. Also, I wish it slid ALL the way into the shell for more protection.

It just stopped working. I tried connecting it on various computers including PC and Apple. I don't know if I got a dud but I would not recommend
