Won't stay locked open

However it's very difficult to plug into a port because the entire drive keeps collapsing on itself. It won't lock open with the port extended. I ended up throwing mine in the trash.

Posted .Hi, we appreciate your feedback regarding this USB Drive. These USB Drives have a retractable USB slider mechanism. The slider should lock itself when the USB connector is all the way out so that it can be easily connected to a USB port. When not in use, you can slide it back to the closed position, protecting the USB connector from any bumps and knocks that it might otherwise be subjected to. If the lock mechanism is not functioning properly, I would suggest you to please contact us directly and we will assist you towards the best possible resolution including a possible warranty replacement if required.

It is supposed to be USB 3, but I believe this one was a fake. Best Buy returned my money no questions asked. I mentioned this to the sales person, they didn't blink, as if it could have happened in the past. Too bad.

I loaded some videos on the flash drive and was able to view them on my Samsung Smart Tv. I took the loaded flash drive to another Samsung HD TV and it would not play. The message was "not supported file format". To me this means someone wants more of my money or more of my time.

It quickly uploaded a few hundred phots but it is somehow encrypted and I am unable to download any of it to my new computer. It is totally worthless to me at this point.

I also transferred 21GB-ish of data from my 32GB Sandisk Cruzer Glide, which was a regular USB 2.0 Drive. That flash drive is a good one too. The data transfer took about 10 minutes! The time it took to transfer that data from my laptop to the 32 GB drive took about 25 minutes. I bought the USB 3.0 drive because I needed the space, and I just like sandisk. I have a 4GB sandisk Cruzer that cost $25.99 in December 2009 and it's still being used daily as my UBCD drive. Consider Sandisk for flash drives. however, it's also the warmest drive I have ever owned as it can get pretty warm when in operation, but not to the point of overheating.

Personal preference since I have good luck with them vs Sandisk when it comes flash drives. Had the sandisk for a week and then it could no longer be read by any computer.
